Isnt that Weststar holding the most major contract for O&G aviation (helicopter) right? But that were mostly for West Malaysia operation (ExxonMobil, PCSB-PMO & Talisman). I think for the East Malaysia is cover by Awan Inspirasi.

You might want to check Awan Inspirasi website. I think helibase for KK operation is based at KK Airport itself (I might be wrong)

Shouldn't everyone that works in O&G do like that too?

I don't believe none of you never did that before.

Dafaq? Hey friend you know how big are those tankers. Also someone of them have navy to escort them from terrorist, none the less people taking bites from it.

If you are talking about rig, that pressure is even more crazy.

Also, in OnG they are very strict about doing things that undercut their business. I know ExxonMobil will not tolerate such things, in the past there was a procurement guy that wanted to earn a couple of bucks by making a cut at the vendor side. That guy was never seen in the OnG sector and his career ruined.

I think you are talking about downstream probably on the logistics site.

Unless you're very confident of nabbing another decent contract after you're done with your current one, I'd suggest you go for WG Mustang. Huge organisation and who knows, they might transfer you to Houston. What position you got offered from WGM?
*
I got position as Mechanical Engineer. As I do survey between this company. I think I go for mustang for future career development

kawan kawan....where is to helibase in Kota Kinabalu if you need to go to Tungsten explorer rig? how do i know the checkin time? thank u....any recommeneded hotel with fast internet in KK?
*
I guess you are not the crew of that rig. If you are, the travel should already been arranged from your home to the rig. The agent will pick you up at the airport, send you to the hotel and next morning send you to the helibase.

If you are the rig third party personnel, your coordinator should know and brief you about the travel to the rig. Normally (my company) will provide that kind of information to the third party compang (their coordinator).

I believe same case for the operating company third party/service personnel (slb, halli,bh etc)

Yes, it is possible. I know DE that previously was a Mud Engineer and another one was a MWD. My opinion, yes you will have to learn more broad aspects i.e mud, casing, mwd,dd, rig equipments specs but you already so called expert in your previous field (if it is related to drilling such as mud engineer, mwd,dd etc)..And again it will depend on your 'rezeki' /luck and performance and your NETWORK.....

If he is talking about selling diesel illegally, yes it happened. My friend working with one of the local offshore supply/support vessel company have this issue but i dont know how frequent they did it. Logically, it is not one man job. One AB can bring back around 10k-20k when they signed off the vessel.

Kekekeke.....it is not a 1 man job!
