I think Mata's case was Arsenal offered a small amount and Valencia accepted. Then we last minute just come in and add a few million more than Arsenal to the deal. So Valencia just accept ours.

John Ruddy is actually quite good for a relegation-battling team. He rarely does mistakes when compared to Ross Turnbull.
