what a superb goal by frankie !!! I was telling my fren this kind of distance, luiz will be the suitable one to kick rather than lamps but hey, he proved me wrong tongue.gif

anyway its quite a boring 2nd half, probably to conserve energy for this mid week game. aston villa won arsenal 3-1, cannot be underestimate especially that benteke...

cant wait for the match already ! biggrin.gif

ba is really off form at the moment, lukaku seemed like the best striking choice for now but i wont write of Torres yet... dont forget he played a major role in europa league last season.. he and his batman mask biggrin.gif

QUOTE(Nabeyl @ Aug 22 2013, 03:34 PM)
a bit scary moment there on the second half, we could have gone with only one point. shurrle was full of energy when he came in, looking forward to see more from this lad. lukaku was brilliant as well he just need a little bit of luck and time on the field. hoping that jose will start lukaku for man u match!

this torres will get the nod ahead of lukaku for the next match. after all, he has a pretty good record at old trafford, aside from that famous miss biggrin.gif

Am I the only one who was happy with this match seeing Chelsea's performance?

Yes, Jose is back but I believe this squad is still much inferior compared to 2004-2007. Give Jose time to bring the best out of the youngsters we have now , especially Hazard. Look at his goal in the second half, and don't forget we were down by one man at that particular time. What a goal... A similar if not better than Ribery's.

Remember during King Carlo reign that time, Chelsea were labelled as an aging squad, nearing the end of glory? Look at the players we have now... Hazard, Oscar, Mata, Kevin, MVG, Andre... all are promosing youngsters and not to forget those on loans. We have a bright future ahead I'm sure

Lukaku, whoever that is blasting him, you suck. Yes that was a poor penalty, can't deny it but for a 20 year old like him to take the pressure to be the fifth penalty taker, you think it's easy to handle?

Overall what I'm happy with this match is the attitude...down to 1 man, never give up, still scoring, defend under pressure...never give up rclxms.gif

the last 15 minutes of defending reminds me of our defending with 10 men against barca, except this time there is an extra aerial threats which barca didnt have... haha

i just wanna voice out my opinion regarding this possession and bus parking issue.

if bus parking tactic is the main reason why chelsea won barca and bayern back in 2012, does this mean that if EVERY team in La Liga and Bundesliga use this tactic against them, barca and bayern will get relegated ? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm if you know what i mean

i agree that mourinho left by mutual consent, not being sacked... it's the media who twisted the stories and left ppl hanging by the idea of 'mourinho got sacked'. the 1 who got sacked is avram, scolari, carlo, avb and rdm. mourinho, hiddink and rafa didnt

i'm worried about Mata now.. looks like he doesnt fit in Jose's plan. probably because he seldom track back to defend. obviously Jose favours Hazard and Oscar more..
but he'll get his time since we have ucl and carling cup coming.. hope he impresses

Wow I was surprised to see Lukaku got loaned out this morning..I thought it was going to be Ba.. damn, we dont know what Lukaku feels now but I'm sure he will be very disappointed. If the club didnt handle him better in the future, he might just give up and leave the club. after all, he has a 'wants-to-impress' mentality..

on the other hard, glad that Mata stayed biggrin.gif

read from daily mail that hazard is fit to face Everton this week. but then, also heard from alot sources that daily mail is not a reliable one

but anyway, i dont think his injury is that serious... even if he isnt fit to play this weekend, im sure he will recover in like another week or so time ?

one positive thing for us chelsea fans in this international break : Lamps got his 100th cap for England biggrin.gif:D:D

I believe I am having the same feeling as u guys this morning, gutted by this defeat... and looking back our 4 previous games, we didn't win any at all and lose 3 games in a streak... I am as sad as u guys

As for the other team's fan coming in and laughing, let's be fair. There is always a rotten apple in a group, so please, do not generalize them all... I have friends/colleagues who support MU, Liv, Arsenal, Chelsea, but I have no problem at all discussing football topics with them. Do not generalize, it makes us look bad
