radiounit,
Are you the person that I know, who was recently just adopted a cat from SPCA?
*
erm.. do u know me? yes, i adopted my cat from SPCA on febuary after chinese new year. does that count as recently?

QUOTE(Mie @ May 14 2006, 12:41 AM)
may i know how many and where SPCA located in malaysia?

give some advice if i wanna adopt one. smile.gif
*
there's probably an SPCA in every state but the one i know is at Ampang. if u wanna adopt a cat, i would personally suggest u adopt from here or here under adoption category. the cats here are more well taken care of by cat lovers. dun get me wrong, i still support SPCA & PAWS, but the cat lovers r forking out their own money to take care of the cats until they can find find them a new home.

DAViS: o ok... biggrin.gif

cat poo does indeed smells, but... cats cover their poo. my cat lives in my room where i sleep oso. after living with a cat for a while, u'll get used to the smell & if u know the "schedule" when ur cat will poo or pee, u can cover the litter box in between the time when ur cat is not using it.

dogs are worse , because they leave their poo lying everywhere. Most cats seem to be ashamed of their poo and will cover it. They do pee everywhere ... but then again , so do dogs.

*sigh* it's hard to keep cats when your mother does the cooking outside ...
*
erm... correction, cats cover their poo so that it wont leave a scent trace to other cats or possible predators. cats also cover their poos if they're not the dominant cat of the area. that's y there are tom(male) cats leave their poo uncovered cos they're the dominant cat of an specific area. as for pee, i rarely heard female cats pees everywhere. only the toms does it to mark their territory... yea, like dogs.

gestapo: catnapped? oh my... which one?

bringing the cat to the vet is the best solution, and u'll feel more happy bout it too instead of jus guessing what's going on.

errr, my cat caught some fleas and being so broke i am, i rendam my cat in a pail of water until the neck level. it does the work and drowned the fleas but a day later, they're back and i have to pick them out one by one. i know the market has alot of flea killer products ala frontline etc etc... but i'm broke. broke from all the wet food and kitty litter i bought for the spoiled princess. so... any ideas?

aiks, guess the only alternative i've avoided IS the only option. so where can i get frontline? i live at sunway and non of the pet shops around sunway has it.

bathing wise, u shld try wearing one of those blinds over ur cat. it's helps a whole lot easier. after that, give her some treats, some belly rub and hugz.

found the thread in garage sale as well. the seller is loc at sunway so it's even easier for me. maybe i could put on the trumpet thing on her after i applied frontline?

cleanliness wise, i always clean the house once a week, sweep, mop etc etc... im the house maid ok lol. i bath the spoiled little princess once a week, or mayb twice. she's strictly a indoor cat and that raises the question, where did the fleas came from. hmmm, strange indeed. do sugar gliders carries fleas? cos my other housemate recently adopted a sugar glider.

QUOTE(krynzpeaches @ Dec 18 2007, 09:44 AM)
NO, sugar gliders do not carry fleas. They don't even have fleas.

I have 4 of them at home and they are more resilient than my cat, never got sick even. The only visit I took them to the vet is for neutering, nothing else. Where else Oren si Kucing, has visited the vet twice for sickness and Oren is a newer member of the family doh.gif
