one of my cats is going to give birth.. vet told me that her due date is during hari raya from 14th to 18th.. any advice guys?? it is going to be my first experience.. after she delivers, i am going to spay her coz i can't afford too many cats since i live in apartment.. hoping to get some advice from u guys..

w00t! congratulations! thumbup.gif

first advice... let her give birth where she wants.. cats sometimes tend to hold out unless they find a suitable spot. but try ur best to keep doors etc closed so she doesnt go giving birth on ur bed. under the bed its ok.

once given birth, do not move them...leave them for awhile. usually the mom will take the kittens away to another spot. but i forgot how long it takes tongue.gif

DO NOT touch any of the kittens. at least not til theyre older. this is cos the mom recognizes the kittens by scent. once u touch the kittens ur scent will be on them and the mom will ignore them. its almost guaranteed that ull have a dead body in ur hands if u touch the kittens. seriously.

keep an eye and make sure the mom licks all the kittens. when they do this, it pushes out all the air "aka angin" in the kittens body. if not, this can also be the cause of having a dead body on ur hands...seriously.

if you wanna send the mom for spaying, make sure shes healthy after giving birth. dont listen to the vet if they say its ok its ok. i lost a cat because of that. do everything to make sure shes healthy after birth before spaying.

and lastly. one of the most important advices... take lotsa pix and post them up here biggrin.gif

good luck and again...congratulations thumbup.gif

guys....i need a recommendation for a vet that can do surgery.

my 18 year old love of my life has a huge tumor on one of her legs. and its getting bigger...need to get rid of it.

already went to 1 vet in subang parade and the feller say my cat doesnt have any extra skin to cover back the place. so need to amputate. no friggin way im gonna amputate my cat. shes 18 years old...already so used to her life all of a sudden wanna lose a leg? no way. besides...the tumor isnt hurting her oso. isnt bothering her at all oso actually.

so pls do recommend me a vet around or nearby to PJ as i would really like a second opinion.

oh...does anyone know what happened to the vet in damansara heights? the one behind victoria station? i heard they moved...but to where?

SS2 vets are a huge NO NO... coz 1 of them caused the death of one my cats (long story).
