Hello cat fans...

I got a question here.

I got a cat here...i decided to adopt it since my neighbour dis-own them.I gave them the best food that i can think off...frikies as a food and milk as a drink.The problem is now,these cats like to scratch at my carpet.So i want to ask you guys(cat expert),what can i do to prevent them from scratching my carpet.I've scold them and hit their paws but nothing works...they just keep scratching my carpet.And to make things worsen,my mum is very pissed off with these cats already.

Other than milk...what sort of drink we can provide those kitties?
