yeah choyster, you need atleast 50% of your time for the cats. the more the better. else you will make your cat look like a doll or furnitures hehehe. better let them go if you no time for the care and love

the most important is u need a shampoo...a good one. if u have a cat with sensitive skin, then choose shampoo with sensitive skin. else just normal one

get flea shampoo if u have a fleas on your cat. else no need.

if you have long hair cat, u might also want a conditioner, to make their fur soft and silky

other than that, u need a fur brush for long hair, u need to brush (sikat) their hair everyday, so the dead fur will be remove. i did mind 2 times a day.

nail clip? hmm im using human one.. i bought cat nail clip 2 times, and both 2 things didnt work in the end im using human nail clip - sharper and easier

earcare - this is important too must have.

thats it. above is the basic things u need. u do not need to spend so much money...

I am a muslim too and I neuter all my pets because I do not want uncontrolled breeding.

I do not wish to contribute to the suffering of unwanted pets. There's already too many of them, be it cats, dogs, hamsters and so on.

Long time already JAKIM has announce on the fatwa shared here by elfreakz, and that is exactly what I tell the people in my kampung now

Shampoo, for now I am using mild baby shampoo cuz he is only 5 months and I worry normal cat shampoo is a bit harsh Bathe with warm water every 2 weeks, scrub a' dub dub all over especially the ears

Fleas, did a frontline treatment.

Conditioner, I use a 3 in 1 powder that includes conditioning, rub it in and brush it

Yeah, nail clipper, I use the normal one too (for human). One is specially for my pets

Ear care, so far the cleaning during his bath time is good enough, his ears are sparkly clean inside out

kuku kucing can be dangerous to you and the cats too. if human, takut dia cakar. for the cats, if they have gatal2 on skin, they will scratch their body, kalau terlalu tajam - boleh luka tau. bila luka akan terkena lah kuman2.

normally indoors cats kena potong kuku, for furniture protection. remember kita bukan potong the whole kuku, just the sharp part

baldi also can, but not too much water, nanti lemas pula.. sampai setengah body cukup lah. i dont use baldi, but i use something like a cat litter... yang baldi tu tinggi nya cuma about 20-25cm height. if you have bath tub lagi elok

Uii, rain water? Ask sifus if okay not? I've never used rain water or cold tap water, I make sure the water is warm, either use the shower water heater or masak air and add to the baldi.

I think if rain water kena human also can demam, won't it effect cats too? Cats can get demam too you know...
Yup, just the sharp tip only... If I don't cut, rosak lah all my precious furniture

Yeah, they always wanna masuk rumah.

I'm staying in an apartment and Oren does not go outdoors except for his balcony. Working time and night time he stays in the balcony, but as soon as he hears someone is at home, he'll meow and start scratching the door to come in.

He just likes being with people (well, just me and my husband for that case ) Huddle near our feet, our arms or our body if we are lying down watching TV...

kibbles is the type of food look like biscuit. cheap one is whiskas and frieskies, can easily found at any supermarket, or even kedai runcit.

good and reasonable price is like science plan, iams, proformance, acana etc. (can only be found at petshop - not all petshop selling it, they might have some one)

good but expensive is like Royal canin , evolve, and etc. if u have one cat and the cat is long hair, i guess Royal canin is the best choice. (most pet shop have this brand, since everybody want it)

high class premium (expensive) food is like Innova Evo, Orijen. This food contains high protein. Not all cat will like it, because of the protein contain. like human - if u eat too much protein u will feel like vomiting right (the weight gainer ouch make me vomit ) ... some believe it make your cat fatter and cat eat abit only since its high protein kucing cepat kenyang. So u save the food



sisa sisa makanan might not give enough nutrition to your cat. hence it will easy get sick and not healthy.

vitamins? if u giving good nutrition kibbles product, u might not need any extra vitamins or supplement, since the ingredients are enough for the cat body.

i have 11 cats, cannot tahan to vaccine all RM35x11 for a student is a lot. but i keep them indoor. doctor said, just vaccinate those yang always run outside. if u have few, just vaccinate them especially if they are outdoor cats.

so that about it. food last time i gave iams coz i have only 5 cats. then i adopt one sad looking cat. and my cat give birth to 5 kitties... aiyo... eat friskies jea lately ... biggest 7kg pack only last about 2 and half weeks. but soon if i finished study, hopefully get a job asap, can switch them back to iam or science plan. they love iams so much.

female also need to neutered as soon as 4 months. late neutered will make them on heat. they will make sound, fur falls, annoying act. if they are on heat, you have to wait it finish then neuter.

and yes male and female both need to be neuter/spay.
