 hi guys, when remove heatsink izzit counter wise the fasterner 90degree and pull up a bit? do i need to complete remove the fastener caps? can i remove heat sink without remove the fasterner caps pls advice thanks This post has been edited by benlaw: May 8 2006, 01:48 AM

u dun need to completely remove the fasterner caps.
i dun get what do u mean can u remove the heatsink without touching the heatsink ?

YES. counter clockwise 90 degree.Pull fastener until u hear a click. ans 2. YES. u need to completely remove the fastener caps from the mobo in order to remove the heatsink.The only thing that u can remove without touching the fastener caps is the fan..

There is an arrow mark on the fastener cap as a reference. Turn the fasterner cap with the arrow pointing right at the heatsink then pull it up. This will unlock the latch beneath the motherboard. If you want a better picture, sweat abit  and remove the whole mobo.
