Update on the hard disk caddy i bought from Athlon888 for my Y510p: It works perfectly and i modded it with the plastic cover of the original DVD-drive. So it looks original as the original. Saving hundred of dollars on the original hard disk caddy. Now the Y510p boot from SSD with Windows 7 or original Windows 8.

can't really remember but i think the plastic cover is only held by 2 plastic tab. I just force it out by bruteforce after i make sure no screw is holding it.
