If i have unlocked bootloader and rooted my phone now, (didnt do S-Off)..

When i update to 4.2.2, do i lose my root. Will the phone do a hard reset?

i cant update, after finish download, the phone will restart and go to recovery. What do i do? i dont want it to go to recovery lol
