Something must have gotten into the pouch or else won't have those scratch marks. Ouch quite painful to see.. luckily I didn't get black.

Depends on if u r a rough or careless user or not. Some people use phone without any casing also can be in perfect condition, some with super thick casing also can damage the phone.
