I disagree on the signal is as strong... HTC one reception is very unstable
This is where the plastic reign I must say

My signal is stronger than ever compared to HoX.

Lol, try compare it with plastic phone, it is not any stronger, esp the galaxy
Anyway aluminium is proven to hinder signal .... Compared to a whole slabs of plastic that have no interference at all
*
HoX is plastic... sleep.gif Full aluminum of course. But you can go and read the reviews where they tested phone signals and the dba ratings compared to HoX are the same or slightly better.

And what did HTC did to boost signal? They inject plastic to aluminium frame to boost signal
highest rating of DBA count for nothing, it's the consistency....

*
That's why I said, the plastic on the HTC One helps with the signal, so what are you complaining about? That was my whole point in saying that the plastic strips on the phone really helps with the signal, cos a full metal body will probably radiate signal heat on itself. Signal has been way more consistent on my HO compared to my HoX, Sensation XE, Desire Z and XpressMusic 5800.

You still miss my point, nvm since you can't even diff the point I'm pointing out to complaining..... HTC phone all the way huh...
*
Your original quote said signal was unstable, and then you also said signal was not strong. It may just be your unit cos every other unit being reviewed and all the users on this forum have not said anything about weaker signals. In fact, almost everyone was surprised how good the signal is considering it is made of aluminum, and HTC themselves have said the plastic strips were there to help with signal.

I have used several HTC phones ( incredible, sensation, one, one x etc) n ALL has weaker signals vs equivalent Samsung, Sony phones. Looks like is their traits but is not a serious issue. You will only notice if you compared
*
You notice it through the signal bar or through dba ratings?

which kernel do u feel best to use for batterylife with arhd 12?
just asking for some opinion..
*
I'll always use the best gaming kernel, and atm it's ElementalX. Battery life, probably stock still pretty awesome. Bulletproof looks like a good modification of stock kernel.

Hmm..just got an update from HTC.

Doesn't say much but probably bug fix for 4.2.2
*
What was your build number before this update? According to XDA, before 4.2.2, there's a small update, restart phone then you will get the 400+MB update.

Using Venom Rom with ElementalX..

most important for me is the kernel.. swipe2wake, logo2menu, undervolt..  icon_rolleyes.gif

I guess Venom ROM battery not as good as InsertCoin.. but much more customisation.. so stick with it.. overnight drain is ~7% with wifi/4G on..  blush.gif
*
Viper, not Venom sleep.gif

another not-so-wise move from HTC.

they should learn from samsung.. treat their flagship seriously..
*
So 2013 flagship should be prioritised for 2012 flagship? Both are flagships, both are coming at around the same time, what's the problem then? I rather HTC take extra time to make everything good rather than go the Samsung rute and just hantam all their messy code into their ROM.

since when butterfly become flagship? please understand about what flagship product really meant before you bashing me.

fix your problem before you asking me what's the problem.

It's still a very decent phone, and it was released last year. What's wrong with releasing the updated software for their other phones first? It doesn't affect you at all, and they are coming out at roughly the same time.

do i said it's wrong? i just said not so wise... i dont even said it's not wise at all.
it's hard to express personal opinion if this forum is full of die hard fans.

So what would be best for you? Since you look like you want only the latest phones to get the update. HTC is a small company compared to Samsung and Apple, they have limited programming resources. If you want to focus on releasing 4.2.2 for HTC One, then when are the One X, One X+ and Butterfly going to get updated? 4.3 is being tested now, so their programming team will be focused there. So 4.3 for HTC One, and don't have time to update their previous devices.

You have to do it in stages, or break the work apart so that updates might seem like they are late, but it's coming for multiple devices at a time. It's only been a few weeks delayed. Up till now Samsung's 4.2.2 ROM is still buggy as hell despite releasing the same time as HTC.

we're not suppose to talk about s4 here, but s4's 4.2.2 was laggy on s4 earlier firmware.. it was fix in late may firmware..

Htc never really stick to it's strategy..or maybe their strategy is just not good enough.. just look at one series (since one x last year till htc one) and how mess up they are.

and regarding the software update, right after they introduce htc one, they said butterfly will be upgraded with later android, but some software features are exclusive to htc one..
hopefully someone who has butterfly can figure out what's feature missing in the butterfly.
*
Hmm? One X confirm getting 4.2.2 and Sense 5. And HTC said Sense 5 exclusives like Zoe will be exclusive for HTC One, NOT Android features! HTC are VERY good with their firmware updates. See how much difference HTC One X went from ICS to JB. S3 become rubbish when HTC release JB for One X. Project Butter is not implemented into JB UNTIL NOW, and Samsung so proudly display 4.2.2 in their build number.

Bigger screen, bigger battery = more powerful....? Everything else is the same. There's nothing in the Butterfly S that will perform better than what is inside the HTC One. Especially if the rumours of no OIS in the camera is true.

My sim card not changed since 2009 i think. I cut my normal sim to micro sim card to use this phone. Do i need to change sim card for LTE?

Thanks
*
Yes you do. And LTE is only available for Maxis postpaid customer now, and must subscribe minimum 1GB data plan.

Im using ARHD 12 now~ If i wan go back to stock
which rom should I download ? thanks again

Find a stock unrooted ROM for HTC__044. You should have nandroid your stock before you did anything, that's why there's huge big red warnings on rooting threads to tell you to do that tongue.gif
