Seeing many users here who can afford to buy identical phones while waiting for their old phone to be repaired make me jealous shocking.gif

Is not really about perfection la.haha..it is like..erm..if you are paying 2k+, of course you will have a higher expectation. So, that is why most people are dissapointed with it, expectation have not been met.

There are many forumers here got their HTC One in a perfect condition, ie: NO Gap, Backlight leakage or what so ever.Inspect carefully before you buy and you will have no regrets, dissapointment. rclxms.gif

I just got my HTC One sunday evening, no gap, no backlight leakgage, it is in perfect condition. it is a good looking phone cool2.gif and LTE is working fine and fast enough! I didn't know Maxis LTE coverage is quite big, my phone can detect LTE in lot of places

Since I'm new to Android, previously coming from iPhone, I still feel the iPhone has better ergonomic design and user friendly interface.

Better ergonomic design? Hell no. It's a flat slab and damn difficult to hold. It's smaller that's all so you feel like it's better designed tongue.gif (not talking about the looks). User friendly? Sure, iOS was made with that in mind as the first priority, that's why Android users don't really like iOS cos it feels too simple and kiddy (my opinion of course tongue.gif)

From what i read, htc one have some focus issue compared to others phone if u set as continous auto focus? Similar to xpz then.. But if its rare case its ok . For service center, i sent my htc one x for 1 dead pixel..and they give 1to1 exchange within 1 week..4days actually but i come after 1 week.. I guess the warranty is ok..its 1 to1 exchange ..other phone i think repaired only and my htc one x was like 10months, not within 7days

Ya true but most ppl complaining bout the gap, i saw the picture they post, tbh i didnt see like a big difference.. Some of it are bad, but it looks like really small gap. I viewed other phone thread too and they also got problems with their phone but not as much as htc one..So how was the new batch? And with htc butterfly s announced, will there be a new htc one? This will piss me off if later they announce new htc one.. Bcause butterfly was not even a year yet.. I know there a htc one m4 which is smaller than htc one.. If that one i dont care..if they announced htc one but with better specs, camera within 3-5months doh.gif

HTC remind customers about one of the device’s commonly forgotten hardware features. According to HTC, because of the Broadcom wireless chips found inside each and every HTC One, the device is able to connect to, not only 802.11a/b/g/n, but also 5G WiFi, the next-generation standard based on 802.11ac.

5G WiFi (802.11ac) promises downloads up to 3x’s faster, with 6 times more power efficiency than legacy a/b/g/n. Because 5G WiFi operates on the 5GHz frequency, this means it’s less congested and thanks to its higher bandwidth (using 80MHz channel bandwidth), can support more traffic from more connected users without bogging down.

While 5G WiFi routers are only beginning to hit the market, there’s a good chance your future router (maybe even current?) will support it.

HTC One power button is on your left side, if you use left hand to hold, your finger is normally at the right top side, so to switch off/on phone, need to move to left side to switch on/off, while iphone power button is on the right side, it's easier to turn on from sleep mode, that is what I call ergonomic design. iPhone smaller screen also easier for one hand manipulate (although big screen advantage outweigh it !)

iPhone iOS is friendly and consistent, but not really customizable (which I hate), over past two days Android experience, I think people who prefer simple and elegant design will go to iOS.

Just rage. That will do

But on the serious note I am sure there must be some foolproof way of making them replace the unit without pain

I also just switch over from Iphone and I agree with you though I bought the One specifically for its larger screen. Eyes getting bad so can't squint at my ip4 and 5 screen anymore.

Didn't like the power button too so now using autoscreen onoff app to automatically turn on and off the screen using the light and proximity sensor.

Also because of all the apps I installed, the battery life was quite bad. Now still one by one turning them off and optimizing battery.

So yeah.. iOS has better out of the box experience. I remember when I first got my iphone, it was just transfer contacts and bookmarks and good to go.

Android a lot more toying around.
