Thanks for the reply. I'm thinking of using either jewelry box or those small component drawer thingy (for hardware stuff), and then nicely label them.

Another idea is using gundam mechanical base as wall and use it to 'display' those parts, like spare part or storage/armory....

Need advice, some of my old gundam got gaps between the 'parts'. I thinking of using glue such as UHU but the tip is too big to properly apply into the gap. Any suggestion?

QUOTE(TheGreatBahamut @ Jul 2 2013, 09:35 PM) Not sure if it called seam line. It's the gap between two ' parts'. When new, it's snap fit perfectly, but now a gap appear due to the plastic flex/bend. I'm more inclined off using glue. |

QUOTE(TheGreatBahamut @ Jul 3 2013, 02:35 PM) I never use that before, also don't know the size of the tip. But well up to you, you can try it. The reason I prefer this compared to the 'cement' because it is easier and doesn't involved dissembling process (old model, scare it will breaks) and also sanding (too lazy So far I just use Mr.Hobby cement and it work well for me, cheap and long term usage. QUOTE(zeroglyph @ Jul 9 2013, 10:18 AM) wow, so finicky, complex and flimsy I got both VF25 and VF27 kit, applying water slide decal a total nightmare especially for the VF27. As a result, my next valkyrie most probably a DX. |

QUOTE(zeroglyph @ Jul 9 2013, 11:46 AM) hahaha....that's why i only bought one design. i only have a vf-25s(super), total nightmare Between the VF25 tornado and VF27, VF27 is way better in mechanism but really hard to apply the decal due to its un-flat shape. |

QUOTE(zeroglyph @ Jul 9 2013, 02:58 PM) isn't that the fun thing about this hobby. you spend a hell of a time to assemble and decal the thing. then have to spend more time to fiddle with the transformation. Although tedious, I loved the transformation process. Makes them unique especially the gerwalk mode. Also, had a lot more pose ability with different mode. Every week different pose.there's always the overpriced yamato stuff if you want it easy. QUOTE(General_Nic @ Jul 9 2013, 06:17 PM) I'm thinking of getting another vf-25, so I can kept one in each mode. But the price and the decaling process kept me back....This post has been edited by sphiroth: Jul 10 2013, 08:41 PM |

Anyone knows whether RG Skygrasper 'sword' and 'cannon' pack compatible with HG Aile Strike and vice-versa. The reason I'm asking is that I already got HG Aile Strike long time ago and wanted the sword and cannon pack.

QUOTE(HxiiiK @ Jul 11 2013, 11:08 AM) can't say much for the backpack, but the weapons themselves i believe the HG Strike can hold them as well, plus the RG skygrasper actually comes with a pair of fixed hands to hold, the peg looks like it is the same as a normal HG ball joint.. as for the shoulder mounts, the HG Strike's shoulders are fatter so i doubt it will fit... highly recommend u pick up the RG strike instead.. you will NOT regret it QUOTE(ralph_d @ Jul 11 2013, 11:24 AM) there is the HG perfect strike gundam remastered, which cost less than the RG skygrasper, no need to assemble the strike gundam, just assemble the extra packs. Good suggestion (apart from the cost of course you wouldn't get the skygrasper if you do so or just get the RG version, both aile strike and skygrasper i see i'm just into gunpla recently, so yoroshiku onegaishimasu |

QUOTE(General_Nic @ Jul 15 2013, 10:52 AM) Agreed...at first, I though no need to replaced any parts for transformation.QUOTE(zeroglyph @ Jul 15 2013, 11:02 AM) the vf-25 technically still a parts-former too (need to replace hands) But imo vf25 and vf27 are more 'interesting'. Hoping they will make the vf29 kit in thee future. |
