QUOTE(HxiiiK @ Jul 23 2013, 07:47 AM) well tbh i don't get the hate, i think it looks freaking amazing.. screw anime accuracy, i just want the MS and i want it to look amazing on my shelf The hate comes from people who a). are purists who want a 100% Okawara accurate Wing Zero and b). Hate Hajmi Katoki's redesigns in general. I saw a similar thing with Nu Gundam ver ka when it was announced, cause people hated how Katoki added more detail to the original Nu Gundam design. |

That all depends on what mobile suits you like. Do you have a Gundam series that you prefer?

QUOTE(ayonan @ Jul 23 2013, 08:09 PM) I don't really watch them, but I love wing. I i love bulky look gundam. Like Sazabi, Sinanju, The O, Qubeley, Kshatriya. I have OO Raiser. Have to say kinda not like it since its kind of skinny. And I love ReZEL Type-C so much. If you love Wing then you're probably gonna want to get over your "1/144" thing quick. Wing's best model kits are all in MG 1/100 form. Also, Wing Zero TV version is coming to Master Grade this October: ![]() |

QUOTE(ayonan @ Jul 24 2013, 02:21 AM) Don't laugh at me okay. My first attempt on weathering & battle damage. Not good at all. I've seen worse(as in my original attempts). Some advice though, you usually want to use silver on sharp edges to give the appearance of scrapped off paint. Here's a WIP of something i've been working on to give you an example:[attachmentid=3550826] ![]() Now i'm also using red iron oxide paint to give the appearance of rust since i'm going for an old abandoned look, but hopefully you see what I mean. The "rust" is red iron oxide. The silver and black is just a gundam marker that i'm applying with a dry brush.

QUOTE(sphiroth @ Jul 25 2013, 01:18 AM) One of the reason why people dislike Shin is because of GOD KIRA No, we hate Shin cause he is a pathetic crybaby and the series he stars in was complete garbage. |

QUOTE(TheGreatBahamut @ Jul 27 2013, 10:15 AM) It look damn awesome but sad thing is those American damn hate this design, they want the TV Ver instead of this lol. Screw all Katoki haters, it is time to move forward, forget your old school design. I know it wasn't your intention, but i'm from North America so please don't put me in the same boat as the whiners. Now, I love the TV Wing Zero more than almost anyone, but even I can appreciate an updated look. Yeah, they've updated it so it fits in the Endless Waltz storyline better, but the fact is that this is still TV Wing Zero. I find it hilarious how many people on the internet are whining and saying that they're just gonna wait for the "true" TV Wing Zero MG to come out, cause unless it's a 100% copy of Okawara's lineart it's not good enough. |

QUOTE(TheGreatBahamut @ Jul 27 2013, 11:50 PM) So far so good. I saw some reddish color on weathered part, is it red color or reddish brown? It's a combo of battle damage and aging. Call it the "ancient warrior" if you will. And in my opinion some part no need to be weathered or just subtle weathered like those part that wouldn't be hit during battle, but anyway I'm don't know you are doing battle damage or the gundam aging or the combination of both. The head result that you posted previously was really good job, I really want to see the complete work of this sexy GP01. I'm using red iron oxide paint to make the rust that you're seeing. I'm basically aiming for a mobile suit that has been heavily abused and abandoned. Thankfully, i've almost cleared my backlog so now I can concentrate on this kit more. I should have the lower half all finished by tomorrow. |

I didn't get quite as much done today as I wanted, but it's enough to warrant an update:

QUOTE(rihuhs @ Jul 28 2013, 11:54 PM) That's what I was thinking as well. A kneeling pose with destroyed fragments of its weapons around him.Edit:This is what I am aiming for. However, I overlooked something: http://imgur.com/STKVOFn,9D1qY7G#0 ![]() I need a bigger base to put him on, cause this is way too small. I might have to buy multiple bases and put them together to get one of sufficient size. This post has been edited by TaurusOxford: Jul 29 2013, 10:43 AM |

QUOTE(HxiiiK @ Jul 28 2013, 11:58 PM) or since it comes with the hangar, if he does the same damage to the hangar, and have the pilot looking at it the gundam from outside (paint the pilot too! So change of plans. I might have to go with the hangar approach. Turns out that "natural" bases cost a f***ing fortune, and I lack the skill to make one from scratch.and have the gundam in a weakened pose, after years of standing at the hangar and not being serviced/repaired, the knees and all the inner machinery has rusted and corroded, making the gundam weakened (much like what happens if your knees suddenly stopped working maybe some overgrowth would help too and you can have Kou looking up at it, sort of a reunion after so many years |

QUOTE(HxiiiK @ Jul 29 2013, 01:51 AM) they don't have to cost a fortune, normally art stores would have those grass mats, probably A3 sized or so, or the 'grass' that come in bottles/containers that you can scatter all over the base to make it look like grass.. grab some branches off your lawn and scatter around and i think you can have a pretty convincing base.. the dirt can be found outside too, so yeah, art shops are your friend Actually, thinking about it, it'd be easy for me to make a frame. I also live on an island so moss and sand and rocks are within arm's grasp.THE DREAM STILL LIVES! This post has been edited by TaurusOxford: Jul 29 2013, 12:30 PM |
