That Proto Zero looks sexy. Screw the haters, I love the updated design.

The hate comes from people who a). are purists who want a 100% Okawara accurate Wing Zero and b). Hate Hajmi Katoki's redesigns in general. I saw a similar thing with Nu Gundam ver ka when it was announced, cause people hated how Katoki added more detail to the original Nu Gundam design.

That all depends on what mobile suits you like. Do you have a Gundam series that you prefer?

If you love Wing then you're probably gonna want to get over your "1/144" thing quick. Wing's best model kits are all in MG 1/100 form. Also, Wing Zero TV version is coming to Master Grade this October:

I've seen worse(as in my original attempts). Some advice though, you usually want to use silver on sharp edges to give the appearance of scrapped off paint. Here's a WIP of something i've been working on to give you an example:



Now i'm also using red iron oxide paint to give the appearance of rust since i'm going for an old abandoned look, but hopefully you see what I mean.

The "rust" is red iron oxide. The silver and black is just a gundam marker that i'm applying with a dry brush.

I know it wasn't your intention, but i'm from North America so please don't put me in the same boat as the whiners.

Now, I love the TV Wing Zero more than almost anyone, but even I can appreciate an updated look. Yeah, they've updated it so it fits in the Endless Waltz storyline better, but the fact is that this is still TV Wing Zero. I find it hilarious how many people on the internet are whining and saying that they're just gonna wait for the "true" TV Wing Zero MG to come out, cause unless it's a 100% copy of Okawara's lineart it's not good enough.

Nu and Sazabi are almost always released next to each other, so people made the assumption that Sazabi ver ka would be a December 2013 release.

Hey, PG GP01 progress.

It's a combo of battle damage and aging. Call it the "ancient warrior" if you will.

I'm using red iron oxide paint to make the rust that you're seeing. I'm basically aiming for a mobile suit that has been heavily abused and abandoned. Thankfully, i've almost cleared my backlog so now I can concentrate on this kit more. I should have the lower half all finished by tomorrow.

I need a bigger base to put him on, cause this is way too small. I might have to buy multiple bases and put them together to get one of sufficient size.

So change of plans. I might have to go with the hangar approach. Turns out that "natural" bases cost a f***ing fortune, and I lack the skill to make one from scratch.

Actually, thinking about it, it'd be easy for me to make a frame. I also live on an island so moss and sand and rocks are within arm's grasp.
