can anyone tell me more about this software, i happen to run this program and found out that my previous damaged CD-RW and damaged DVD rom speed were set to 48X but the spindown time is set to INFINITE, while my newly bought DVD-RW spin down time is set to 2min, is that the reason why my burner and DVD rom died in 4 years?

nope. burners nowadays are made to last 2-3 years depending on your burning intensity.....nothing to do with software...

perhaps that might answer the reason why my burner spoil (btw, i burned less than 40 disc in this 3 years)
but what about the reason my DVD spoil? First of all, for both my drives, very hard to open the cover, must press few times, when i managed to open, after putting my disc inside, my DVD will not read, only my CD-RW will read (SOMETIMES)
what do you think could have caused this? cheap PSU?

Probably the software didn't support the drive and decide to over-use it? Just a theory.
My old burner (16x/10x/40x) is still alive after 4 years and burned over 100 discs.
Btw, what brand u using? BenQ really sucks (didn't even last 1 year).
