Got my loan for 1.6 approved. Planning to get red color ride. SA offer me the 1888 discount with 3 years/60k free service also. What sort of other freebies should I get also? Please advice. Thanks!

3 years/60k free services inc parts & labour? How much is it worth, rm3000?
*
As commented by the SA it's estimate worth around RM 3k. Heard that the new cars for year 2014cars will b ckd gurun with less interior trims. No leather finish for dashboard & door panels. just sharing. smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

Lucky I buy the 2013 one tongue.gif

I booked mine on October with dealer at Ampang, he promised me that I will get my car on November.
But I waited until December, and I gave up.
I searched in Carlist and Oto, found 1 dealer in Kepong has 1 ready stock, the white one!
Called him, he said the original buyer has gone oversea and cancel his purchase.
Deal with him, got my car in 1 week.
Lucky me smile.gif

Congrats. I hope to get mine before Xmas. Preparing loan document & will register the car myself as want to buy no.

I wish to correct myself on my own quote. I checked with a few SA mentioning there is no changes on the internal trim. So the leather finishing might stay. To think again, there is no reason KIA want to remove the leather finishing and sell the same price and killing their future business. Kinda stupid to do that too. Sorry my misquote. tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

Anyway I changed my mind and plan to get a 2014 car. Will pay the booking fee this or next week and plan to get it by mid Jan 2014.

Want to check something if anyone changed their HUD to the 2.0 type with GPS & DVD player? How much will it cost?

That's the issue which is bothering me now. Should I get the current car so called Semi-Knocked Down (SKD) units with discount of RM 1888 + 3 years/60k free maintenance or should I wait for next year car (2014) with speculation on changes of interior or exterior spec with a revised price. blink.gif blink.gif blink.gif

Hi guys, got 2 loans approved for my 1.6 now. Still pondering should I get 2013 car with the current offers or wait 2014 car which SA say earliest is after CNY. So should I be feeding my ego to get the 2013 car or better so called RV (which I dun care much) and wait till after CNY.

In addition I got 2 version of the SKD/CKD stories here,

1. 2013 car still SKD 2014 car fully CKD. If 2013 SKD cars, ex-stock shall be from Naza stockyard at Rawang. 2014 CKD cars shall be by trailer from Gurun, Kedah. If from Port Klang are those fully CBU, dunno here got or not.
2. Does not matter 2013 or 2014 car still SKD becoz controlled by Kia (Korea). Naza just an assembler.

Kindly share your views. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

IMO, depends whether you will sell the car soon or use very long... think the first 3 years car value depreciate the most... so if you want to sell in <3 years then take 2014 car... 1 year out of 3 years is a lot... but if sell after >7 years then become relatively lesser...

if i were you i will just take now... instant saving for about 3k for free service... to me buying car think bout RV sure depress one... like all electronic gadgets, you cant keep up with the price...

Good advice there, I think I will get the 2013 model and get the discount + free service promotion offering at the moment. Will try to squeeze more from the SAs and see if can get more offers .... hehe. tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

Hi guys,

I'll be getting my red 1.6 tomorrow. Looking to good tint now and was thinking of huper optic. Anyone tried that or have any better suggestion?

Currently my vios using rhinepro which seems to deteriorate after 2 years of installation. Cost for rhinepro xd7 is around RM 1,000 against Huper optic proposed around RM 1600.

All suggestions are welcomed. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Anyone did any body paint coat/glass coating/ceramic coating on their new ride? Tot of doing mine to protect from chips and scratches.

Found a place recommended by my SA at Sunway, Protech, which offers coating with 2 years warranty + free one time touch up maintenance after 12 months for RM 1750 (usual RM 2k+). Anyone tried that?

Hope to get some feedback from fellow Cerato owners.

Serviced my car last Friday at 850km mileage. No problem they just put sticker stating next service 10k km or 6months.

After owning my 1.6 for more than 3 month, I am very satisfied with the Cerato.

I would dare to claim this to be the 2nd best purchase in my life (my house is the first biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif ).

The handling is good, which I dun understand that there are no feedback from the steering (maybe I'm not so good with this feedback feel thing).

The noise insulation is good also, definitely better than most of T & H C Segment.

Fuel consumption very much depends on your right leg. Averagely I manage to get around 560 km for 45 litre (est. 8 litre per 100 km). Not very frugal but good for urban/sub urban ride.

Maybe the only setback I feel of is the suspension which might be a bit soft. Can definitely feel some sway when tackling corners and bends and higher speed.

Well nothing is perfect but the Cerato might just be the best buy you can get with sub RM 100k budget. tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

CHEERS!!! rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif
