When korean cars have all the latest gizmos and features where as an owner will appreciate, those anti koreans will says, sucks lar, expensive lar, cheap lar, over priced lar, easy to spoil lar, etc.

When japanese cars is fitted with the gadgets found in korean cars, all those fans suddenly says, fuyoh, damn good ler, value for money (even though it's like rm20k more or rm30k more than kimchi), reliable lar, etc.

If kia cerato have launch this car and fitted with a T or H logo, guess nobody will complain.

I must says, show me any car, b segment or C segment car below rm100k that can compete with kia cerato in terms of build quality, soft touch material, gadgets, 5 star safety, etc.

For a family looking for a C segment who values safety, comfort, 5 years warranty, this car seems a logical choice if you are not brand bias.

I agree when it comes to resale value, nothing beat T&H or even proton or perodua.

Life is too short to worry about resale value as car is always a liability unless you are into classic cars where appreciation does happen. Then again, classic car, you will be looking at contis and never jap nor kimchi.

What matters most, is your own affordability and what is your priority when purchasing a car. Is it snob value,is it performance, is it features, is it space, price point, good warranty, ease of servicing, etc.

Till the days when our motor policy liberate, guess resale value will still be a major concern among buyers as compared to other developed country where car is dirt cheap and you don't need to take 9 years loan just to get a perodua/proton.
