water dripping/leaking from front passenger seat leg area..causing some water logging on the floor..
SC guy said that the aircond piping to leak off the condensed water is choked..so they repair it immediately within an hour++..hope no major issue raise from this event.. btw the kia hotline ppl follow up and call me after repair to check my status and make sure the report is in their system..hope it is sign of a good after sales service by nazakia and benefits to us.. |

QUOTE(yorkhan @ Jul 16 2013, 05:51 PM) hmm... normally the floor covering is waterproof... so it wont kena below. my kelisa lasttime it drip alot between the gap. damn smelly coz water smell. if below the floor mat still ok la...as long not below the carpet/covering. oic..i suppose it is waterproof hence the water logging issue..the SC claim they have suck all the water out but unfortunately im not there to see the whole repair process..QUOTE(smongium1984 @ Jul 16 2013, 07:02 PM) 1st time owning a new car here... how long should the break-in last? and mind sharing how u break-in ur car? this is also my first car..there are plenty of theories about it and not sure if there is a sure way to do it..refer Buydirect post below..QUOTE(Buydirect @ Jul 16 2013, 07:21 PM) For any new car, you should observe the break-in period for the first 1000 Km. There are a few things you should not do during the break-in period i think i've read kia break-in advice somewhere in the service book/manual..1) Do not overspeed. That means to say, go slow and steady and don't drive excessively fast. Perhaps below 90 km/hr is good 2) No sudden acceleration and/or sudden braking. Basically, do not let your rpm go up too high. Although most new engines are now built tougher and more robust compared to the older generation ones, it is better to observe this simple tradition when driving a brand new car. KIA does not specifically advice on this matter in the owner's manual either. |

QUOTE(hemuihemui @ Jul 29 2013, 01:22 AM) add me as kia cerato owner here : where u did ur 1k service bro? can bring our own engine oil or not? mine is due this weekends..1.6 red colour WYR XXXX - manage to get my ride on 13th July 2013.. No promo /free gift.. Already done 1st service..now 13XX km already..superb NVH after service.. fuel consumption quite okay..7.6-7.7litre/ 100km (+- 13km/ litre) 50% highway/50% city ride but minimum traffic jam.. Problem : Nexen CP632a -> ordinary tyre..i've get used to continental/michelin before..recently found out stock tyre quite noisy after 1k run in..if have budget need to change to comfort/performance tyre.. No warning if you fogot to switch off the lamp when locking the car/no autolock (can this be enabled in SC/control menu?) i haven't read the thick manual yet.. front passenger seat do not have electrical seat as of driver seat..perhaps NAZA allow us to upgrade the seat to full-electrical seat as well. The seat is quite low..quite hard to see things under front hood.. yeah..theres no warning beep/alarm when locking car n forgot to turn off the headlight..one time i forgot to turn off at office..luckily nothing happen..scared battery will spoil faster if more like dis.. +1 on the seat too..and also is it possible to upgrade the ventilated seat like 2.0 into the 1.6? i think it will be vry useful to me who is hyper-sweating.. |

QUOTE(lalula2 @ Jul 29 2013, 10:42 AM) You can turn the headlamp to auto mode as it equipped with sensor. So no need worry about forgot to turn off headlamp. It will auto turn off it self after you turn off engine and lock the dock. QUOTE(izputra @ Jul 29 2013, 11:04 AM) Usually NazaKia SC did not practice that (bring own engine oil). Better use their recommended engine oil as to preserve the 5-year warranty nice tips bros..probably it settles the issue then..thanksYupp..no alarm/buzzer sounds when forgot to turn off the headlight while exiting the car. But anyway, the headlight will be turned off automatically as soon as we open the car's door. This applies to Forte & i strongly believe that the Cerato should also behave the same |

QUOTE(pai3355 @ Oct 3 2013, 09:00 AM) there's thread on this forum about cerato vs civic vs focus. Looks like many forumers voted focus. Is it true focus is much more superior and cerato really unmatch by focus quality? both cars price about the same. I was comparing focus and cerato before..and now im a proud owner of cerato..IMHO it really depends on your budget and other factors too.. entry level for cerato is 100k which is 1.6 variant while focus is 117k for 2.0 basic variant if comparing 2.0, cerato full spec (the only spec offer) is 119k while focus 2.0 full spec will be 134k so, if u willing to spend 134k for a car then focus 2.0 may be the best car for u if u willing to spend 120k for a car u can get either 2.0 cerato with full specs or a focus 2.0 which offer the basic specs (both have their ups so choose it wisely) if u willing to spend 100k for a car then cerato 1.6 may be the best car for u. other things to consider such as power to weight ratio, handling, cabin space & design, FC, repair/service cost, aftersales/customer service, RV, etc. at the end of the day test drive all the prospects and pick the one u like and enjoy most cause u will be driving it daily n paying for it for many years to come.. i wish u good luck in hunting cars This post has been edited by gbx: Oct 3 2013, 12:36 PM |
