As for the car, the Cerato is one of the best made Asian cars around. Spec, build quality, NVH is excellent. The only areas a conti is superior is the steering feedback and suspension set-up, IMHO. The furor that has a lot of people getting pissed is they were probably expecting the old Forte price with slight increase, not a double digit jump. Still, I think this car will still sell.

Should the new Mazda 3 realeasing a hybrid modal, it could be a head-to-head contender in terms of same segment and price point (assuming conventional petrol engine selling at a premium).As for the car, the Cerato is one of the best made Asian cars around.
