Just a hypothetical question. What if there is a new Cerato variant selling at sub 90K i.e 89888 but without the following specs :
Example
1) Only 2 airbags instead of 6
2) No memory seat
3) No start/stop button and smart key (OK, maybe can still add this in?)
4) Without auto aircon
5) Basic Head unit (without GPS / DVD player)
6) 16 inch sport rims, instead of 17 inch
7) Without welcome light and side mirror auto closer (when locked)
8) No flex steer system
9) Without driver power seat
10) No auto cruise
11) Without front fog lamps.
12) No paddle shifters
How many of you would go for this variant due to its pricing instead of the full spec version? Bearing in mind that for the additional 10K you pay for full specs, the additional monthly installment for 9 years loan tenure is only about RM113 a month.
When Naza launched the Forte a few years ago, the response for the lower spec version was rather lukewarm compared to the full spec. That's why this time round, they decided to only offer the full spec model.
well said.......
for less than RM100k, cerato has all the features one can once dream of.... i think the reason they wanted 10k lesser is purely due to the brand name which is a bit unfair.... for me personally, initially i thought the same cause RM100k for cerato is a bit steep...but after i look at the car inside and outside (haven't test drive) and do countless comparison no new car come close to cerato for RM100k (proton aside). if anyone found any, let me konw....
