Just got my Cerato 2.0, and for some reason i'm unable to stream bluetooth audio through the HU.

any thoughts? Works fine through aux.

Pair your phone and goto keypad, you can play music by pressing "mobile media", but that's it. You can't change tracks via steering, u need to change by pressing your phone.

For the record. I am using iphone and mobile media plays music in phone list. BUT, IF you have other third party music apps (like "酷我"kuwo), you also can actually open the app, play the songs and press SWITCH on the HU keypad, this allows the apps to stream the music to car speakers, thumbup.gif it's cool to me as i don't often sync my phone with music but download them or stream them via third party apps to listen. Not sure this works on a apps call "sounders" but this method works for kuwo, sogou, duo mi “酷我,酷狗,多米” music apps on my phone. rclxm9.gif

can u guys share with me about your FC? full tank can go how many km?

thanks
*
Read back a few pages, you'll mostly get an idea on FC, i can't speak for 2.0 but 1.6 is 7-11L/100km, basically to have 7 - 8L/100km you have to do highways for about 50% on your full tank till empty. Else city drive with traffic lights and traffic. Mostly you'll get 9L -11L/100km. That's from what i observe with my car.

Stop and go really kills the FC greatly with this car. Kerb weight around 1740KG, it's very much heavier than a 1.5 City and Vios with 1,095KG. Not to mention a Mazda 3 with around 1400KG.

So i think you should have basic idea how FC performance, you'll need "special" cool2.gif skills to achieve 7-8L/100km. (Press light on pedal, glide the car as much as possible before stops and try to maintain whole driving process in 4th - 6th gear as long/much as possible) laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Hi guys, finally after much consideration and comparison few months back, me and wife pulled the trigger and bought a Kia Cerato K3 1.6 - Golden Beat which we just collected yesterday.

First of all, I would like to thank my SA, the trusted Mr Buydirect @ Mr. KS Loh for the pleasant buying process. From booking to actual delivery day, Mr Loh has been a very helpful chap. He answered all my enquiries and thoroughly explained everything that I should know. I must say he is the best SA i've met so far and it seem he gave the best offer too. I've been to few Kia outlets - PJ Red Cube,City Ruby Sunway,Red Cube Rawang,TTDI,Kota Damansara, all of them couldn't beat what Mr Loh offer (from my POV) in term of his service entertaining customers enquiry and also the attractive package on the car. All other outlets seem to give too little discount and very few free gft (only fulltank & umbrella). Definitely I'll be looking for him if I want to purchase another Kia and would highly recommend Mr Loh to anyone who want to buy Kia vehicle.

And for the car, I must say that it had almost everything I wanted in a car. Previously I drove a Mercedes S280(W140) for more than 5 years thus I'm already too attached to the comfort level it offered. Surprisingly though the Cerato does not fall back that much, and all the gadgets in the car instantly make me forgot about the S280. The only thing that I miss in the S-Class is the soft closing door tongue.gif
Overall I'm a happy customer, hopefully the car will last until I finish paying the loan laugh.gif laugh.gif

Welcome to the family bro, Mr. Loh aka Buydirect indeed the best SA I've met so far. I can say you've made the smartest choice and you can't go wrong with more K3 on the road recently.

Do join FB cerato club page for more interactive comments.

Cheers

His service level are good.
Offer might be the same with other sales person, but service quality and response towards your inquiries are fast.

this is the offer I get from salesman
KX: RM83000 OTR
K3: RM95000 OTR

do I really need the extra features provided by K3? the only extra feature that catch my eyes is addition 4 airbags.
can I get some input from all the sifus here? thanks biggrin.gif

Basically if your budget allows for k3, it'll still be a good deal having a C-segment with that price. Anyway here's some of what I have in mind.

If you can put up with some here n there feature diff then look at few major feature.

Safety: kx lack 4airbags, stability control. (actually I can put up with 2airbags, I didn't buy the Car to crash it so hopefully I don't need to inflate the airbags, BUT stability control is diff, as it prevents u from crash and a feature u might use it daily)

comfort : dual auto aircon, air cooling seat, glove box cooling, memory seats (if u ok with manual aircon with a new car)

Driving feature: auto wiper, auto defog, pedal shifter (pedal shifter really makes a diff while driving)

here I ignore small matter things like leather steering, front dashboard, chrome button on handbrake, aluminum pedals, soft side handle.

Basically above the really matter is stability control to me. Of course if budget not a matter definitely k3 come as all in one pakage thumbup.gif tongue.gif

Since we are discussing on the KX variant, like to share that stock for KX will be depleted and may be discontinued soon. KX was a product specifically approved by Kia Motors Corperation Korea for Malaysian market and for limited units only. Any continuation will be subject to new approval from KMC , which will take 3 months lead time for fresh suppy of parts for assembly, and subject to the direction /policy by Naza Kia if they want to continue to offer this model in future.

Spy shot of a possible all-new Hyundai Elantra. If this eventually becomes a production model, the head lamps look too much like Kia Cerato, don't you think?

Sad to hear that, but I think going forward since the jap H and T have basically closed the gap with their full spec car of vios n city having full equipment, compare to kx, I think kx does loses it's advantage without ESC control, price and equipment might no longer be of kx advantage. And if kx would to improve more, it'll be pointless having a k3.

Only for kx owner to worry is the spare parts, since just for Malaysia market and I seldom see kx on the road, only 2-3cars since 2months. K3 on the other side almost 2days i'll spot one k3 otr biggrin.gif
