Hi all, nice to meet all you guys yesterday nite though only for short time. . . need to rush to dinner after bee do bee do which was very nice . .
Not sure who is who either except dares Saw some of you guys did the 3bond thingy as well . . However, when I saw the FLX did the 3bond thingy, I have some concern on it. . saw the persona (I believe mengsuan's) did it and you need to rev the engine while 3bond is being sprayed into TB. . As our CVT cuts the rpm at 3k+ rpm, not sure this will have any negative effect due to lack of revving ? some updates on my COSE trip in the morning. . 1) Vibration sound during slow acceleration from rest / crawl my vibration sound (I believe it is from what I heard) is still there when slow accelerating from rest / crawl especially during traffic jams. .Acc. to them, they've only tighten the undercarriage, removed my tire and check the brakes part or something like that. . but that bloody sound is still there damn . . . . Someone in yesterday TT recomended me to ask them check the exhaust '"pineapple pot" as per previous dares experience. . will do that as a last resort, if it still fails, I am not gonna fcking care that sound. . took a day's leave yesterday but still not fixed. . BTW, does it take long for them to remove, check / change the "pineapple pot" and fit it back ? can be done in <1 day ? 2) Steering turning got spring sound They said they have removed the steering out, checked it and refit it. . when I first took the car, it was ok, no sound at all. . IINM upon reaching home, when I reverse park, thought I heard it again . .need to 2x confirm . . any possible reason that this is due to the PS oil ? gonna have it changed at 30k and see any improvements. . . 3) Timing belt noise seems to have timing belt chit chit chit noises (I believe it is and its the same kind of sound that emits from those old Iswara) when I am driving. . it does not happen all the time (but usually when I step gas when cruising) and it only sounds for a while then it will be off. . COSE said they've lubricated the timing belt. . but still got sound when I get back the car. . |

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « 1) Well I guess that's the first step which is to ask them to check the nanas. . if they check and say ok d but still I got the sound, I believe I can ask them to change it straight away ? worst come worst, I pay that nanas part money ? All they want is dont want you claim warrantty either by saying fix liao. delay until warranty over or make you visit SC until dulan and leave it aside. . If you say outside do <100, I think the nanas part is not that expensive ? What do you think ? 2) Yes, mine SE. If that is really wat they did, then I wonder are they really car seller. . this one scare that one scare. . ownself sell de car oso scare touch. . let me drive few more days/weeks first. . if really still got, I go instruct them open and grease it or whatever. . bloody hell . . eat money that time got balls, ask fix things that time balls kecut liao . . 3) I dono which 3 of the situation that you have mentioned is happening. . FYI, I kissed my SE front face to a Matrix ass before recently. . |

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Jun 30 2013, 12:06 AM) yes quick detailer. where to get IPA ? ? I have Permanon coating on my car but sometimes those water marks just stays there. . some IPA will be good to remove them. . .no need find detailer, self DIY, more fun follow meguiar's 5 step: 1) wash (typically 2 bucket system, with grit guard if possible) 2) clean/prepare (claying, IPA wipe downs etc) 3) polish (polishing/compounding, that's where you restore paint, remove scratches/swirls) 4) protect (LSP, last step protection, your wax/sealant/coating etc) 5) maintain (weekly wash if possible, QD bird dropping/tree sap/tar marks etc) look up youtube videos on those specific steps, or just join the LYN detailing thread: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2717191 |

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Jun 30 2013, 12:13 AM) ipa may or may not remove water marks. it's best to do a thorough wash, then clay the car. if severe watermarks, no choice but to polish them off if you have coating then its different story. . Like mine, I had Permanon coating which is good. . fresh watermarks can be removed with (non abrasive type) wax with some effort. . But figured out that IPA will be easier. . |

Thanks Elton. I have very positive reviews by just driving for 1 night. . . btw, for those who didn't know, FLX rpm cut of at 2.5k rpm. . Valve close = 2,500 rpm Valve open = 2,750 ~ 3,000 rpm This post has been edited by ruby1288: Jul 1 2013, 12:58 AM |

QUOTE(dares @ Jul 1 2013, 10:55 AM) Why issit closed at 2.5k then open at 2,750-3,000? Don't really understand your post When Elton clean that time, you can hear when valve open and close ma . . I know in N it rev cuts at 2.5k RPM. when it is closed, then rpm at 2.5k, when open, then rpm goes to 2.75 ~ 3k P or N is the same. As long as not D |

QUOTE(dares @ Jul 1 2013, 01:40 PM) Proton SC staffs may only be idiots, but they are very skilled in voiding warranties. hmm, if that is the case, then it is better to remove FS as well before going to SC ?Don't be surprised that, touchwood, one day your ignition coil kong, they will blame your autofold mirror/reverse camera because you modified your wiring. Just ask mingwei r3apers maxwell |
