may i know how to format thumb drive using apple?? when i right click i cant seemt o find the command

Try Disk Utility as it will list all mounted drives.

Disk Ultility will be the one.
At disk ultility select your drive, use erase function, done. |

Disk Ultility , just make sure to select FAT/MS-DOS and not HFS+/UNIX , otherwise Windows would not detect it [But if you plug the Pen Drive to a Linux Box ,it would detect it and mount it as well]

Better to format your thumbdrive to a Windows format. Macs will recognize it as well as PCs. That way your thumbdrive will be compatible when you want to transfer files (eg MS Office files) across to a PC. You can use Disk Utility to format to a Windows format too.

One thing to note that if you format the thumbdrive to Windows/MSDOS format, transfer rates will be slower.
