QUOTE(Matrix @ Aug 13 2013, 12:34 PM) Yeah...share share info bro.. what channels do they have on cloud iptv? Any references?Last night watch a lot of HBO HD movies....CloudTv free for 2 days...then subscribe monhly....not that expensive...about Rm40 can watch all the english and chinese channels....hehe. if xbmc can stream from those sources, then no need subscribe...must research more.... And yes..most important your internet no cap...I use Time Fibre broadband...8Mbps. But I noticed the cloudtv streaming use about 300 to 400Kb/s max...usually under 300KB/s...So a 4Mbit line is the minimal requirement for smooth experience. But sometimes it buffers also (especially on HD channels). However, dont expect the hd uality like Astro or your downloaded bluray mkv. It is still better than Astro SD though...way better. For normal SD channels...just like Astro SD...but better a bit and got widescreen (16:9). |

QUOTE(Matrix @ Aug 15 2013, 08:38 PM) Hi! Can you tell us how much you subscribe for this and the channels?? Is it RM17 for all the channels? Hello Bro...I have asked playhub before....see his FB page https://www.facebook.com/pages/TechHub-Asia/140731089311441The RM17 is the premium channels. 290 is free channels plus ...I think an android TV box. I am not even sure what spec is the box. For me....it's now either cloudTv or this playhub. For now....I am still with netflix. |

I think if you register in cloudtv.bz and be a member, can customize package and resell them. thing is...not sure how do you deploy them in via a build in app in a box or just repackage with a customized apk.
this is really interesting. theoretically...can repackage and install / resell to own gang members... |

I am using Unotelly for Global DNS. Then register Netflix online with malaysian credit card.
Cheaper way is buy the coupon....I have yet to buy it. |

QUOTE(Matrix @ Aug 19 2013, 09:24 AM) Actually, it's not that cheap...LOL....RM299 + RM99 for the airmouse. (But airmouse you can use for other boxes as well). Units get hot when operate within 1~2 hours of heavy streaming? the performance of chip might be compromised if this happenedRikomagic MK 802 IV http://www.rikomagic.com/en/product/showpr..._39_pid_19.html Pros: - More RAM than most competition (2GB RAM vs 512MB/1GB RAM) - More storage than most competition (8GB vs 4GB)...but take note the app partition still stuck as 2GB. - Mini and cute ( - quiet stable (last two days watch Netflix marathon, didn't crash on me once....easily exceed 7 hours usage per run). - Decent performance Cons: - No built in LAN port due to mini size. - Maybe can be cheaper for a China product??? I think most Android boxes should work. But at least, this one confirmed can work... But the streaming still loses out to the PC in terms of quality, sometimes video quality downgrade can ocur (it doesn't stop to buffer, you will see blocky video instead) due to maybe wifi problem or what i dunno and frames can jump a little bit once in a while. BUt it is not a frequent occasion. Not enough to disturb your viewing experience. Overall still very satisfied with the experience. Btw, share a tip. Netflix for Windows 8 (from the Appstore) suppors Dolby Digital 5.1!!! So if you are audio maniac and want 5.1 sound, you can hook up a windows 8 pc to your TV and route the audio to an AVR (though i haven't try it), or just just the PC speaker sets. |

QUOTE(Matrix @ Aug 19 2013, 12:05 PM) Yes. Definitely hot. But like I said earlier, performance is generally satisfactory except for a few minor occassion. Thanks for the advice dude.what I understand is this box use a 28nm chip, hence less heat and can pack into small form factor. Most standard bigger android box still use 40nm chip. So you can use this as a criteria when hunting an android box. |
