Sorry 512k broadband its too slow to play hd video. You need at least 2m to support the streaming. Btw you are gping to terminated your astro I think its good to upgrade your speed to 4mbps if available. Mk808 can be purchase online I buy mine from ebay. You may buy from qoo10 and other onpine shopping website as well.

simple step
1) go to system>file manager. add source
2) key in address: http://fusion.xbmchub.com
3) go to setting>add on>install from zip file>fusion>program and click navi-x (it will auto install in the program option)
4) Go to programs and you will see navi-X sppeared the screen and volar enjoy and play with all the function.

4mb streamyx is enough to stream most of the program. but of coz faster the better. I pay SGD55 for MK808 ver 1,6 duo core, i heard quad-core processor is on sales so you may check it out. Recommended to buy wireless mouse (any brand) I'm using logitech wireless mouse (SDG16) . Air mouse is very troublesome in my view.

you can watch what ever match whatever sport you like in HD in condition your broadband is fast enough to stream HD content as my streamyx 4mb just ok to stream 720p live tv. 1080p will be lag and buffering. So faster is better.

to me, there seems to be two alternatives to astro:

1) use skybox/openBox/dreamBox

- pros: no annual fees, no need astro dish, will not be affected by changes made by astro

- cons: need faster internet, not easy to use by old people


2) use Android MK808

- pros: easy to use by old people, plug-n-play, 512kbps is enough

- cons: need annual fees (rm250?), will be affected by astro if they change their decoder/card.

I think skybox/dreambox require astro dish and once astro completed their smartcard replacement that's then of it. It does not require a fast internet connection.
For android player such as mk808, you will need a faster internet connection to stream all content and it'll Will not affected by changes made by astro.

Agreed. I think Amo tv is relatively more stable than fengyunzhibo they keep updating their source. Fyzb however always get buffering even though ur broadband is fast and stable.

Mk808 is jt a android tv box like your android phone. So once u buy it u need to install the app yourself. If u tvb drama go for azdrama, if u want taiwan channel go for amo tv. If u want western or hollywood drama and movie go for xbmc.

If u want all in one. Then jt use xbmc all you need to do is look for tutorial yourself at youtube.

Did you mean add on for xbmc? If it not hd, sportdevil is one of your option. You also can find a lot of chanel on navi x but not all of them work at all time.

XBMC is awesome.. A lot of live tv programmes and movies can be watched thru this software...

Just bought a RicoMagic mk802 iv quad core RK3188....

XBMC doesn't work on this though sadly. Btw, i have downloaded the PC version of XBMC, can watch movies meh? All i can i see is a few channels...no FOX/HBO/STAR/CINEMAX etc.

Now using CloudTV, will probably subscribe to it soon. Still better than Assteruk.

You can watch HD movie with so many sources. It's easier by using add on such as navi-x, icefilm, chanel1 or mash-up. All movies you can watch whether live or stream from server. It also can find for you the subtitle during play the movie.

So this android tv can replace:

1. Asteruk
2. Smart TV by sony/samsung
3. Micro Tower CPU PC for home browsing, movie, videos for kids
4. Laptops connected to TV/Monitor for works or leisure..can even edit documents on TV then lol..

But Most IMPORTANT we need high internet speed with no caps..

Erm how about if i only use Wimax with 2mbs and 15gb caps..how long will it last..lol

Yeah...share share info bro.. You can watch tons of chinese/korean stuff ...all free...but I dont understand chinese, so app like PPTV is mostly useless to me...But there are other app and source. Downloaded one app...watch korean dramas...I am no fan of k drama but this one got english subtitle...so can watch if bored also...
Last night watch a lot of HBO HD movies....CloudTv free for 2 days...then subscribe monhly....not that expensive...about Rm40 can watch all the english and chinese channels....hehe. if xbmc can stream from those sources, then no need subscribe...must research more....

And yes..most important your internet no cap...I use Time Fibre broadband...8Mbps.
But I noticed the cloudtv streaming use about 300 to 400Kb/s max...usually under 300KB/s...So a 4Mbit line is the minimal requirement for smooth experience. But sometimes it buffers also (especially on HD channels). However, dont expect the hd uality like Astro or your downloaded bluray mkv. It is still better than Astro SD though...way better. For normal SD channels...just like Astro SD...but better a bit and got widescreen (16:9).

Which file did u install and got XXX channel? If your kid clever enough, thats the problem. From navi x got some xxx chanel but it not really obvious unless you search for it

Even in Google playstore, can easily accidentally search for sexual material (maybe not XXX, but maybe naked girls photos app)...not really suitable to let kid use the Google App store on the Android TV box.

Yeah... Can watch latest movies yet to release, watch all major US/UK channels including ABC/CNBC/NBC/FOX/STAR/HBO/NatGeo/Discovery to name a few...
But, sometimes not so stable and need to wait for intermediate buffer during streaming live...

If you already install plugin from repository file, you must click add on under video menu. You choose from there and install it in your list. For navi-x, I prefer to choose recently upload list. You can get a lot of list from there.

Yes, on the phone looks pretty good, coz small screen. On 40" tv,
you can start to see the grains.

Somehow, I have a suspicion it might be cloudtv..lol. coz cloudtv
also do oem and allow device manufacturer to package their services..
you can read it at their website... but some of the channels in that Rm550 box
are different...so it might be diffrent providers..

Only quesion is the reliability of the service provider...later bad quality streaming,
service down or closed down...1 year subscription gone and you ends up
with an overpriced android box...but at least box still can use for other
purpose and streaming service....

There is another guy selling this playhub tv in garage sales...I thibk this one use the cloudtv service coz the channels almost the same.

Fox/hbo etc all these are not on demand video. Seem like u still not get to know the power of xbmc well. Navi-x is only one of program that post random program posted by volunteers. Quality and stability is definitely not consistent. However you really go deep into xbmc add on. There are bunch of great repositories to watch on demand video with high quality. The 1st I will recommend is icefilem and 1channel for thosr on demand english program. Go study tutorial from youtube.

Of coz there on demand indian or chinese repositories like azdrama etc if u know search from their forum.

BTW, whats wrong with PLayhub using cloudtv? Not stable? The playhub sounds cheap, RM290 - one off fees. Premium channels are RM17/month
