Hello....I suppose for english and chinese is $4.99+$6.99 per mth....right?

Yes. Cones to about usd 13, so about rm 43...not cheap also...now pondering if
I should invest in that rm550 android box with 1 year subscription...
The qualtiy of the cloudtv is actually so so only except the few engliah HD channels which
are better. I dont think worth to subscribe to the xhinese channels as lots of chinese channels
are free....but depends on your needs lar...

Yes, on the phone looks pretty good, coz small screen. On 40" tv,
you can start to see the grains.

Somehow, I have a suspicion it might be cloudtv..lol. coz cloudtv
also do oem and allow device manufacturer to package their services..
you can read it at their website... but some of the channels in that Rm550 box
are different...so it might be diffrent providers..

Only quesion is the reliability of the service provider...later bad quality streaming,
service down or closed down...1 year subscription gone and you ends up
with an overpriced android box...but at least box still can use for other
purpose and streaming service....

There is another guy selling this playhub tv in garage sales...I thibk this one use the cloudtv service coz the channels almost the same.

Dude if you can find GOOD free on demand HD channels like
FOX HD, HBO HD etc, please let us know how and where....so far..all
the free stuff are mostly rubbish or with very poor quality video.
Even PPTV...the quality is horrible...

When you watch TV. Sometimes you just want to channel surf and see
what is on without thinking too much. If I want to watch blockbuster hollywood movies or tv serials, I will just download those bluray or 720p video recording...which no streaming can even match the quality and sound.

btw, tinker with xbmc last night. ..still not impressed. ..mostly rubbish channels or stuff which wont work except a few....the cloudtv experience is still way better.
*
Hey dude.

Fox/hbo etc all these are not on demand video. Seem like u still not get to know the power of xbmc well. Navi-x is only one of program that post random program posted by volunteers. Quality and stability is definitely not consistent. However you really go deep into xbmc add on. There are bunch of great repositories to watch on demand video with high quality. The 1st I will recommend is icefilem and 1channel for thosr on demand english program. Go study tutorial from youtube.

Of coz there on demand indian or chinese repositories like azdrama etc if u know search from their forum.

Hi Guys,

I am new to this, I would really appreciate your assistance and patience with my questions.

1. I understand right now there is Android TV that can watch almost all channels & even better than A$$troll?

2. I also understand that some Android TV needs to be paid and some no need to pay at all? (depends on the decoder/Android box type that you buy?)

3. Some "Boxes" requires A$$troll satelite dish & some requires only internet?

really appreciate if you guys can help me out. Need to put in some channels so that my mom can watch TV at home. Thanks.

Ok. Get what you meant now. I guess I am not so much into on demand videos..
since I have about 7TB of downloaded Hd movies ( mostly 1080p) sitting
in my hard disk usb box...smile.gif....yeah. got the azdrama add on. The problem with
xbmc is you have to dig and try out so many add ons. I am more into getting
Tv channels which serve a mixture like Astro rather than go looking for a movie as
that is already catered for. Thanks for sharing.

1) I wont say better than Astro. User experience wise, Astro
still better. If you dont mind a bit hassle, then ok.
2) Yes. You pay get better quality served to you lor. You use free, expect lower quality and lots
of hassle searching for good contents.
3) Those require dish pls dont buy anymore coz all the service closed down. Only left internet tv streaming options now.

if for your mom, I suggest you pay some money and get easy access for her.

The problem with pay tv on Malaysia the quality and value they provided do not pair with their service. Heavy censor? Delay telecast on so call live event, monopoly, poor tv content, and one side news. Seriously, are we live in the stone age? Do we still need to spoon feed by them?

I'm actually quite keen to get the Playhub Cloudtv from one of the members here.

Any comments on this or any other better suggestion that i can leverage on? I'm very keen on that as it provides me with the TVB and sports channel. Mainly interested in this two only.

Another question is, would the Playhub be able to install XBMC and Amo TV since its running on an android platform?

BTW, whats wrong with PLayhub using cloudtv? Not stable? The playhub sounds cheap, RM290 - one off fees. Premium channels are RM17/month

Cloudtv can go by month, 3 months or yearly. I just paid RM23.xx just now for the English channels (only 14). Chinese channel dun wanna buy can watch all free elsewhere.

But i still feel that RM550 package might be worth it...provided the Service provider don't tutup kedai after 1 month you had paid....hahaha.
