Hello /k/. I've applied to the Sime Darby Management Trainee Programme and I was shortlisted. I have to for an Online verbal and numerical reasoning tests this Friday. Not sure what to expect...but kinda excited...

But I think it's been revised to above 2k.

After 1 year, permanent employee already. Pay also diff.

Just my 2 cents:

Management Trainee = cheap labour

I know of people that joined the program, but didn't advance much in term of carreer compared to normal employment

That was the pay for Management APPRENTICESHIP (for n00bs), not management trainee (for pros)

last time i was internship at canon opto shah alam, the pay for apprenticeship was like rm 500 per month and management trainee was rm 2000

Mgmt trainee with starting 2.5k-3k after 1 year absurb to permanent position with a lot of benefit. The best benefit is for housing loan and bonus (4-8 month). Increment up to 30% depend how good the bodek skill.

my friend work there. he say need to pandai layan the big bosses (who like getting drunk). thats the kind of culture you will be seeing in sime darby.

I'm afraid your friend's case is an isolated one lol. So far I didn't meet any bosses who need you to layan yet.

i used to be one of the trainers for the shortlisted participants where you have to be involved in a programme for few weeks before they assign you to their offices.the competition to get shortlisted is quite tough.just make sure you try to stand out later.
