is going to be BAD PR for SE if its not true.
*
Why should it be bad pr for SE?

Beta test schedules info should only be available to beta testers like us & not to some game website.

Isn't there suppose to be some NDA for this kind of thing?

Test schedule is ok to talk about it.

The only NDA that is not lifted are bugs reports, glitchs, audio & video.

their twitter have been announcing a lot of test schedule as well.

It is bad if they give not true info. This happen a lot in the past of 1.0. For us should be ok, i do not mind if its not true either. But for new players, who haven't put trust will snarl at it even the slightest mistake.
*
There is talk on the beta forum that once test 4 of phase 3 is over, the servers will be down for 2 weeks for debugging before they open it again for phase 4.

If that's true, prepare yourself for withdrawal symptoms. laugh.gif

What is the purpose of the Bard? I rarely see any Bards in the beta.

Letter from the Producer, XLVII (07/02/2013)

QUOTE
Hello again to all of you eagerly awaiting FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn. Yoshi-P here, bringing you the forty-seventh Letter from the Producer!

I hope everyone who's been accepted into the beta has been enjoying themselves so far. The team is carefully reading over all your feedback, verifying and squashing urgent bugs. We've received many critical reports for the PlayStation 3 version, in particular, and they've all been resolved without incident.

Now that we're halfway through phase 3, all that's left is to stress test the duty finder, and to monitor server stability over a long period. It won't be long until phase 4, early access, and the big day arrive, so the team is really giving it their all.

It's been hectic preparing for release, but I've managed to sneak in a little anonymous game time during phase 3 as well. This past weekend I was playing as a conjurer, partying with random players to collect gear from the dungeons. No matter how many runs I did though, not a single robe dropped. But then, on my last run, the robe I'd been waiting for finally appeared in the loot list! Needless to say, I lotted on it right away—but then the thaumaturge lotted and won by two points. It was all I could do to type "Congrats!" while biting back my tears.

Anyway, let's put those unfortunate events behind us. Now that the latest testing period has ended, I'll be heading to Paris for this year's Japan Expo. Not only will I be giving a presentation on FFXIV: ARR, but I'll also be doing interviews with a number of media outlets. My schedule's looking more hectic by the minute.

As producer and director, things will only get tougher from here on out. As much as I hate riding those metallic nightmares they call airplanes, I think I can muster up the courage if it means meeting all of our fans in Europe.
(That's not to say our North American and Japanese fans aren't important too. )

And with that, I'm off to Europe. See you soon!

yea i understand how yoshi feels in the dungeon...while for me i did 3 dungeon for the main quest and keep dropping tank gears...and when i go halatali drop 3 of my stuff and i lose it to another THM....bite my tears and say congrats..well play...
*
when i can't find anybody to do dungeon, i do FATE.

FATE is so much fun when you see 10 to 20 people fighting together especially if the monster is some kind of huge boss, compare to 4 people in a dungeon which is kinda lame.

the credit card registration service for FFXIV is not available yet because the game is still in beta. You can probably register your credit card once the game is launched.

The next Beta test is scheduled to begin at 2:00 a.m. (PDT)/9:00 a.m. (GMT) on July 5th, 2013.

Starting from the next Beta test, the stress testing of the duty finder is planned to be conducted. However, the final QA check of the system is still in progress.

As a result, there is a possibility where the duty finder will not become available at the start, but instead will be implemented through the update that will be conducted during the Beta test.

With the testing details including when the duty finder will become available and also the closing schedule of the next Beta test, we will be making another announcement before the test begins.

http://forum.square-enix.com/ARR-Test/thre...le-(07-03-2013)

Duty Finder will still be on this week but it may not be available on Friday night. I hope we can use it on Saturday or Sunday.

No wonder I can hardly find any English speakers in tonberry when 3/4 of the players is Japanese.

Duty Finder better get online this weekend or I am raging all the way to Leviathan server in P4.

With Duty Finder, we can do this:

-Pick your role, dps, healer, tank.
-While waiting for the queue can switch jobs and do other stuff while waiting.
-Teleported directly to the dungeon. If you make your own party in advance, it can also teleport your party to the dungeon without having to run there.
-Filter by language if you wish.
-If someone leaves you can get replacements.

No need to shout LFP, LFP like a donkey again. tongue.gif

Also, the beta test won't end until Duty Finder is stable, which is when they will announce an end date for the beta test.

I'm honestly i think is best that you just go to Sargatanas or Behemoth server for that matter if you are too picky about language.
*
sargatanas is eu server. I prefer NA & Leviathan is a popular NA server. I did my own research. i honestly think you don't have to tell me where to go.

if the japs weren't so xenophobic, I wouldn't be so picky about the language.

Take a chill pill nwk, those are suggestions not orders =.=.. for most of us that amount of english speakers are enough and distant world LS gonna be on JP as well I don't see the problem, shoji is just supporting your idea of going to leviathan if you're not comfortable with english speaking minority to the extent of going for a worse ping
*
I don't know about you but last week I was shouting LFP outside Halitali for almost 2 hours & nobody responded. So I am looking forward to Duty Finder.

A lot of people on the beta forum agrees with me about shouting LFP: http://forum.square-enix.com/ARR-Test/thre...ty-Finder-Video

All part of LFP..... my personal best was 4 hours... hence i am very very wary of progression of main story line that requires you to LFP, but seeing the video of duty finder brings me hope.

We can try out duty finder tonight & if it works like they say, then LFP will be nothing more but a sad memory for us. smile.gif

FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Beta Test HotFixes (Jul. 4)
We have resolved the issues listed below.

-Cases where the server will go down when logging out or forcing quit.
-Cases where the server will go down during specific circumstances relating to Guildleve.
-The screen will freeze and be unable to proceed.(Only in PlayStation3 version)
*We are resolving the certain situations that we were able to confirm.
-When logging in again within an instance, the chat for Linkshell/Free Company cannot be done properly.
-When the party leader is the first to leave during an instance, the Limit Break Gauge for the party leader remains, and Limit Break is possible.
-When on a Chocobo Porter and when the player goes into an instance dungeon because of a party member, the use of Actions and Battle cannot be preformed properly.

Beta Test Phase 3 Patch Notes (07/05/2013)

Battle System

•The ”Duty Finder” has been implemented: a feature enabling cross-World party grouping.

How to use the Duty Finder
If you wish to take part in a specific duty, simply select the option and click "Join" to commence the party matchmaking.
* When joining content as a group, everyone in the party must meet all the requirements.

Along with the implementation of the duty finder, the following changes will be made.

•The NPCs that enabled you to enter the following content have been removed:
•Sastasha
•Tam-Tara Deepcroft
•Copperbell Mines
•Halatali
•The Bowl of Embers
•The NPCs that enabled you to enter the following content remain, but will no longer be used to begin the content:
•Haukke Manor
•Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak
•Brayflox's Longstop

* Also along with the implementation of the duty finder, a new Developers' Commentary video that focuses on the Duty Finder has been released. Check it out to get a deeper understanding of the duty finder before testing!

http://forum.square-enix.com/ARR-Test/thre...1456#post901456

All players are now required to use Duty Finder to enter the dungeons because they want us to test it.
