You only mentioned 3rd person MMO (either action or non action).
There are many other sub genre of MMO that are not very popular.

I definitely have a slight different mind set in term of MMO,
- I want choices, lot's of choices
- levelling is part of the fun, NOT a grind to make it to max level in order to enjoy the actual contents
- give me enough reasons to play everyday, such as short and long term achievements not just on "bunch of numbers in your book"

It just me, it's hard to put the actual thought into words. i want this I want that, I don't want this I don't want that- there won't be enough space to fill all those texts.

Since I already pre-ordered it (just why I always do this -.-), not hurt to give it a go, even if I just stop before a few steps to max level (happens to majority of MMOs), just consider it as a time filler or play something different to see what other developers have to offer. My taste surely not grow from thin air, it is from the experience of playing many others- seeing what good and what bad from one game to another.

*edit: I usually avoid cartoonish type of visual though, not my taste

and it definitely NOT OK to tell me to back off and quit before I even actually start.

Something just not right about GW2 so I stopped after one month. Guess I rather don't want to elaborate it here.

Don't misunderstood about my side, I just don't like cartoon, not even TV show.
I'm now stuck in a MMO made in years 2002 or 2003 something, still playing everyday, really bad graphic if I actually want to complaint about it.

It's kinda different between "grind for special benefits" and "grind for levelling".
I'm OK with the first, you gives me some good rewards and I work for it, 7 days, a month also can.
But the second one can get tedious really quickly unless somekind of strange wind struck my head.

I just wonder why not many MMO actually want to take a simple approach in term of dungeon - solo mode and party mode. It will reduce the complaint on forum by 999 pages at least. Solo mode, 70%-90% less reward but very easy, no need crazy gear or skills. Standard party mode, standard difficulty and rewards.

Anyway, thinking of testing out US server next time. See how's the latency goes.
Even with duty finder in place, language barrier will become a problem on Japanese server. OK OK I know there is sort of auto translation in there but I won't really count on it.

The duty finder better be working properly and up to expectation.
And the community better behave instead of throwing 3-years-old-with-a-gun attitude around.

Different game different community behaviour, since I don't understand the community at all, I'd much likely to be alone at the start.
In games I players for years, I can troll all I want. But in a new game, I'd rather shut my myself up- which is why I'm not very liking to co-op.
The game better be working properly and have enough functions & abilities to bring people together, rather than creating tension and unnecessary competitions.

Hmm, the framerate seems largely improved. Not sure is it caused by my freshly installed OS or just they fixed something

But srsly, if you can still stay totally positive about the MMO (or gaming in general) after sooooooo many years, congratulation you have the longest patience in the world. (try stumble on super crappy companies like Nexon, 讯腾, etc, and you'll understand why I demand so much. Or maybe you won't because different people different perspectives on things).
