generally, you're in a JP server. JP players, never or rarely invite english speaking players. The best way to find a party, is to create the party yourself. Well that's what I did. or find a JP language intro learning site. Learn the 50 Hiragana, 50 Katakana alphabets. so when you see, for e.g, jp ppl shouting for サタシヤ(sa-ta-shi-ya) you instantly know he's asking for satasha, then, メンバー(mem-ba: member)@1アタッカー(a-tak-ka: attacker) @1幻(CNJ) @1盾(tanker). so you can just reply that guy よろしくー(yoroshiku~: hi) LV20ARCです(lv20archer here) おさそっておねがいします~(osasotte onegaishimasu: please invite me).

Just get into the damn party and then be quiet LOL. Add the japanese language pack in your windows language and type jp with it. However, all these require you to understand all the jp alphabet. I learn japanese when I played FFXI before just to make it easy to get party invites and act as fake jp tongue.gif.

I still remember the COP days in FFXI.. with the time diff, can't never find NA ppl, only jP players around. I'm still amazed how I coordinate the fights with themlol. I conned JP into my party, then tell them that I'm malaysian chinese, japanese not well, then coordinate fight strategy in broken jp language tongue.gif. Japanese will not leave party usually due to them don't wanna be rude, so they'll have to make-do with having a gaijin leader haha

thanks for the nice lesson in Japanese.

this defeats the purpose of having auto translate in the game. what is the point of that useless thing anyway if i have to learn Japanese?!

Well consider that they haven't put all the Translation in Beta yet. back in 1.0 we have auto-translation for many of the dungeons. :| i still get many JP invites with using Auto Translation smile.gif

Dungeon Name would be included in release i guess, i have no problem by using auto-translate to making party, JP join also.

now i use

/sh L15 {Instanced Raid} {Looking for member} Gla/Con/Arc 1/4

for Sastasha, if Japanese /tell in, just ask them "{Hello} {Job}?"

finish.

i guess i will decide on how duty finder work first upon choosing which server to play

- Will the duty finder work for all the event that require party, E.g Instance and Guildleve
- Will i able to choose Eng Only party member in duty finder like in player search where i can tick Eng and search for all english player only.
- Is Jap Server and NA Server player able to play using duty finder and play together.

I think then only i will see which server should i choice despite the ping and language barrier.
