seriously do ff14 has dps meter? well i like that kind of challenge but in the same time alot ppl dont really like it which you might guess why..personally i would like to know how my character is performing and in the same i can understand the mechanics more with it...not used to compare haha
also 1 sec cast time mage? it wont happen dude also i am not sure you did really play a mage before but certain times there are spell having 1sec-2sec casting time for certain spell like ice element but dmg will be lesser than fire which having much higher cast time. But then i dont see this element in ff14 as both fire and ice are having same cast time
No , but I bet someone with a lot of leisure times will probably make an add-on for that .
It is generally a bad idea to make a DPS meter , because players in the game do not have access to debugging tools like developers therefore most results they have obtained are inaccurate.
And once they see how their class are not competitive enough ( which generally rubs the player at the wrong way ) , they will start complaining and that is when the endless cycles of the class-balancing begin.
Just take a look at the notorious W.O.W . This is the 9th years ,they still probably spent 50% of their effort tuning the class DPS.
Not because that classes are imbalance , but because there a lot of player demands for it .
If you are theorycrafting just so you can see improvement on yourself then thats good for you , but 99% of the players don't give a damn and mainly playing the theoritically highest dps class just for the e-peen.
This will eventually spoil the game progression , because Square Enix don't nearly have a developers team like Blizzard and if they are forced to spend 50% of their effort into their developing cycles , you can expect the upcoming contents to slowly crawling out by years.
