i just purchased cs:source from steampowered.com

currently installing it.....but the download rate is very slow....about 5-10kb/s

i am on streamyx 1 mb...

u guys get similar download speeds???

is there anyother way i can install it?? like can i download cs:source with a download accelerator or something??

sigh....sometimes d download speed is <1kb/s

the eta is 5000+ minutes = about 4 days.........wah...damn long

u just download the game, dont download anyting else until it finish. and on your pc 24 hour. hehe.

i have a 2mbits line, but i dled it at 50kb/s last time.

Thread starter, I guess maybe you got at 60.49 IP which from my experience I had the worst download speed on that IP.

i actually got 60.50.56.xx

i heard that good d/l can be reached with ip that start with 2 rite??

i keep restarting my modem but always get a similar ip....never got an ip except one starting with 60.xx

but why is it when i d/l from like normal websites, i can get speeds of 80-100??? just this steam thing damn slow.

try asking steam

steam was under extremely heavy criticism before. so ....

i downloaded cs:S tuks me 1 whole day for my 2nd pc n for the first pc tuks1 hour.. n nop.. not dat slow.. 40kbps average..

got lots error regarding the steam server is bz.. so.. IT STINKS..
