yea misread it. the thread title said s-pen and i assumed everything related to s-pen, but when i scrolled down and read, it was only s-pen trigger lol. also, i downloaded sentinel last week but haven't flashed it yet, still trying to decide on which of the millions of aosp themes to use before flashing it lololol.

Fylon, usually the problem is BLANK IMEI rather than generic.

Follow the steps in the XDA thread by jakgelap.

Just to inform that my pal successfully get rid of that the generic mei issues by flashing to latest XME rom (N7100XXDMF2_N7100OLBDMD2_XME). Can get it from sammobile.

What a relief for him.

Seem the problem happen if you flash other modems to this ME6 and MF2 firmware.

No problem bro! Ain'y my set actually, my friend. I'm still with DLK5 baseband.

But my pal case is, he got signal from telco (DiGi) but can't have his mobile data to work. And when do *#06#,the imei is the generic type, aka 004999010640000.

So I suggest him try his luck by flash to the latest stock rom and it seems resolve the issue.

Baseband :N7100XDMF1
Build: N7100OLBDMD2

So fast so good now.

Sort of, better do EFS backup before do any flashing. Or else really pain on @ss.

should be ok if we used stock roms with stock modem. yes EFS backup are must if we ever wanna root and flashing custom roms

Lol. I backup mine even I'm on pre root stock room.

Don't really like flash around as I found stock rom are so much enough for so I just go with root for special command.

Agree, note 2 already better in stock+root

but its best with Sentinel ROM + Devil Kernel + Crossbreeder
