Yes flash TWRP with PC or Mobile Odin is best.

Get into download mode and reflash stock rom first. Or one of the prerooted stock roms. Then install Mobile Odin, and use that to flash the Odin version of TWRP or CWM.

Hmm i think we have similar settings and usages for the phone and the only main difference is our brightness settings. I always wonder how you guys manage to use the phone with the brightness turned all the way down

Actually that is true, do not run down your battery. Just charge it whenever you can. For storing li-ion batt it is recommended for it to be charged to 40 - 50%

Some articles have described the care and feeding of lithium batteries so they remain strong and healthy with no ion loss. It is also a technical limitation of such batteries that they cannot drop beliw a certain voltage thru over discharge. So yeah top yr batteries off when they hit 10% I guess is good practice unless you want to show how long you can last
