You need to have your current efs folder backed up if u wish to reflash earlier roms. Did u read the xda post. Dr.ketan mentioned it explicitly.

Anyone tried yandex shell launcher
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...ZGV4LnNoZWxsIl0.

Its like a free version of SPB shell 3D and it should be available in English now.

Honestly, after the whole PRISM affair, having all your stuff going to Uncle Sam is bad enough. Perhaps even Marehsian NSA... so now let's add Russian NSA to the mix ......

Well, more Note 3 rumours:

Galaxy Note III rumoured to have 3GB of RAM
http://www.sammobile.com/2013/07/03/galaxy...ave-3gb-of-ram/

This is the 2nd rumor on this, perhaps a bit more credible after the LG G2 is also quoted to have 3Gb.

well i used to love spb shell and similar launchers but after that i think again, the only real visible 3d difference i could recall from my spb days compared to other launchers is at the pages preview so screw that.

How does it work? I disabled SuperSU and system status is normal but after downloading the updates and rebooting it stopped halfway and say updates cannot be installed.
*
Was your kernel and recovery are stock? Mine both are stock, only rooted. After the update finish and reboot, new update already installed

I found a way to take good photos with a flash.

Since the flash is too "bright" in most close up conditions which will over expose the subject.

Instead of using the flash from the camera, if you have noticed a widget called assistive light, turn it on and launch camera. There you have it. At least you get to control the metering by distancing you subject from your flash.

Actually my dad found out accidentally with his S3 tongue.gif

BTW, after having used Perseus kernel with that color correction feature and now having switched to full stock (rooted), the color contrast is pretty jarring. Oversaturation laugh.gif

Yup.. the color was extremely saturated that it hurts my eyes at first. But now pretty much okay with it. Reflashed to stock kernel since perseus gave me some issues with NFC quick toggle setting

Anyone here been using the X-posed Framework and its associated modules? I am thinking of beefing up the section in post 8 for it.

I use it to change icon and had played with exposed app settings. Frankly its pretty straight forward as it is configured using apps and not script or anything difficult. Not sure what u can write about it apart from giving links to each module.

Yes that is what I intend to do, just add a few of the more useful XDA module links, coz the VillainROM site is no longer available. I find that having Xprivacy, Tweakbox and Greenify make for good enough customisations.

Yup, everything was stock except for it being rooted using Method 1 from Dr. Ketan guide.

During the updates installation, it stopped at around 30% when the android is shown and then booted normally saying updates failed.

How to check whether Note 2 is prone to SDS, I have reading from post 1, but I bit of confuse..Care to explain.. Thanks
*
There's some code, perhaps on the S3 forum, that you can key into your keypad that shows you the Board Revision number. I don't recall what it is. But you can also install EMMC Check from the Play Store and it will tell you if your chip is affected. If it is there is nothing you can do about it, but you can mitigate it by updating to any of the 4.1.2 ROMs after February.

Top 10 best smartphones for June 2013

http://androidheadlines.com/2013/07/top-10...13-edition.html

GN2 is NUMBER 4

...The Note II really took off when it was launched with improved S-Pen functions and on ever major US carrier. It’s screen resolution and CPU are perhaps ageing a little bit now but, what matters here is that the Note II is still the only device that makes an argument for a larger device, with its added S-Pen and the features that Samsung have thrown in here. If you’re looking for a device that’s a little bigger, and that you really can do everything on, then this is the device for you. It’s available on every carrier and it’ll be updated for some time to come.

Test with another SDcard to eliminate is not a kernel/Rom issue
I have always been using SanDisk though I have tried others Kingston,Apacer,Kingmax,Transcend etc. Simply you get best warranty services from SanDisk - no limit on card replacements
Different user will give you different opinions. You are just as simply asking which is best phone, best TV, best car etc etc
*
other brand I not sure
but I know transcend warranty not bad as well
yet claim warranty from sandisk (amoda building) working hour is office hour, hard to go there claim warranty due to I got class on weekday ~.~
