Hi,

This morning when I woke up, I noticed that my IPad was fully discharged In the past few weeks, due to an Ipad cover that seems to "spoiling" , sometimes my Ipad will be kept on because the magnets ont he cover doesn't seem to work as well anymore and sometimes when I close the cover, it doesn't off the ipad...


Anyway this morning with the battery discharged, I plugged in my Ipad to charge, I noticed after 30 minutes it still would not turn on, when I press the power button you can see this screen



I've tried with a couple of original apple ipad chargers I have around the house and can cofirm that it doesn't work.


So, my questions are :

1) What do you guys think is the problem? The connector ? Battery failure?

2) My Ipad was bought for less than a year maybe 9 months or so. Warranty is not even really int he concern because I've jb'd my ipad and with no way to revert it to factory.. do you think I should try and bring it in to Apple to fix and run up an expensive repair bill? or bring it to some third party to fix?


3) Based on the assumption that the issue lies with either the charging port or the battery itself, how much am I looking at to do a repair?

Lol yes . I've also tested it using my PC .. notice that previously because I have the ASUS AI charger software installed, that icon will indicate when an iDevice is being plugged in, notice now that plugging in my iPad does not indicate so anymore... so got a strong feeling that maybe my charging port on the ipad is damaged or something.

Looks like more to battery issue. Can itunes detect the device?

Nope. Itunes can't detect it.. and as mentioned normally when charging the ASUS AI Charger task bar icon will indicate that an iDevice is connected but it doesn't indicate anything now.. :/

Have you tried cleaning the dock area on the ipad? See if there is any sign of burn mark.

Yup tried cleaning it, and also no burn marks or anything.

My iPad also the same, sometimes can charge, sometimes cannot
