can i ask something about y410p and y510p (single gpu)? I dunnoe which 1 to choose. Any1 can giv me some idea.
1. Im nt a heavy gaming user, maybe sometime will play some game wif coursemate. i wan to have a Y series laptop s bcoz of his cheap price wif ddr5 gpu.
2. The reason i choose Y series rather than Z series bcoz of its JBL speaker.
3. Most of the time i watch movie onli...
4. i have a read a thread be4 about gt750m use on hd and full hd laptop, is it better tis gpu use on hd or full hd?
5. The reason i like y410p is tat it is quite light compared to y510p, but now i noe both is juz 200g diff, is it a big diff
One more question, does y410p can switch to intel graphic as well to save battery life?
If I am not mistaken, you are comparing on the non SLI version of the Y510P vs the Y410P right? Then it mostly depends on you. If you want mobility and don't really care about the screen, you should go with the Y410P. If you like big screens and FHD, the Y510P is better.
In ur question 4, the GT 750M can perform on both HD and FHD, it really is based on the gaming settings you set in ur game.
In sentence 3, you watch movie only. So you should go with the Y510P. But if u mostly watch movies in ur TV, Y410P is better because its cheaper.
In sentence 5, 200 grams is a little thing. If you are more on the go, it can be a quite a big problem. Imagine taking a bag for 4 hours, 200 grams X 4 hours= you take 800 grams more!
You said you mostly watch movies only, then I think you should get an ultrabook or something because the Y series is more aimed into gaming. Yes it is a multimedia laptop but you can save ur money on the graphic card and use the money on portablilty. Maybe Acer or Asus ultrabooks are more into ur spec. But if you do play games, there is no doubt that the Y series suit you. If you can fork some cash later on, you can even get SLI!
