Y410p come with new Haswell core i7-4700MQ/Intel HD4600 auto swappable with Nvidia optimus for longer battery life and lower temperature. There is no noticeable performance gain for new i7-4700MQ except performance boost for Intel HD4600.
Its worth to pay extra RM100 for Y410p for longer battery life, lower temp, extra RAM & HDD.  smile.gif

at the moment NO new driver for gt750m under windows base...i hope its gonna be a new driver for that card after windows 8.1 release

the gt750m driver that we using now already have been customized by lenovo to make it work 4 lenovo y400 & 500

if u download original gt750m driver from nvidia & install it,your screen will be blank went u start or boot windows (try with your risk)

u can feel hot air blow out from fan at your left side laptop bro

different story for me,

the nvidia driver from the bundled cd, i cant get it work...not even begin to install in windows.

and since no driver for gt750m from nvidia website yet, i chose gt740m driver from there(found somewhere in google). and it works like charm, no problem so far. the driver still detect the gt750m chip

everything is smooth and max setting.

May I ask what version did u use when selecting for the GT740M? Someone recommended me to use driver version 320.14 beta for gt740m... but i heard people say that sometimes black screen will appear or BSOD..  shocking.gif

i'm using 320.18 .. so far nothing happen and everything very smoothly, i'm with 4gb ram only though

i just installed nvidia 320.49 driver ( weird someone in this forum said it is beta but i didnt found anything stating it is ).

glad that it is actually for 750m unlike previous driver which i have to choose 740m in the drop down menu.

stable for me, and got a very cool feature that it can optimize games from its own nvidia control panel.

maybe it is not a new feature but it is new for me hehe

Btw, is it fine? I'm gonna read the feedback at nvidia's forums... i'm scared of the 320.xx version drivers as previous ones bring so many trouble sad.gif

for performance, i didnt notice any change, especially crysis 3, feel nothing

but i do feel the temperature drop slightly lower when playing prototype 2, far cry 3, put my pc in high performance mode, I say it that way because previously the air that coming out feel very hot, now not that hot...

and do not encounter any bsod and crash issue so far....everything smooth biggrin.gif

there are sellers in the forum that have them.
you may check around.
if you mean the ngff, yes it boost performance as it caches the file.
but from what im reading here, our local unit doesn't have it yet.

the ssd for me better to store OS only, for games better to store in a separate partition or better a separate hdd so not to drag the ssd perfoermance down.

ssd mostly boost your startup/shutdown time, softwares and games loading time (like opening microsoft office, loading a game map etc.
it wont have much effect for game graphic performance

Thanks, so i think no need to fork more money for it
