QUOTE(yewMP5 @ Jul 24 2013, 08:01 PM) btw...do you have any news about 510P price? and do you think 2 years warranty is enough? i am thinking like a laptop after 2 years is old enough to retire already Reseller sifus like storm88, hikari85, devour ... should get some indication already 2-3 years is about right for upgrade cycle By then you'd start working already? More bullets to spray

QUOTE(Areas Elysian @ Jul 24 2013, 09:47 PM) Warranty wise it's either Dell's or nothing. Sadly. I just love Dell's warranty service. 3 years next business day to your door service or a 1 to 1 replacement. Can't beat that. Includes accidents such as water damage or drop damage/cracked LCD etc.. too bad they don't have anything good for me.. but Dell doesnt have anything like Y510P/Y410P my monitor is dell...why i picked dell? Warranty wise , really best, 5 year 1 to 1 holycrap no one can beat that. but sadly lenovo's offer is like

any advise on the caddy bracket for HDD that can fit into Y500 ?
Lenovo is selling them but inclusive with a 500G HDD and it cost RM400++.
totally not worth it since I have a spare 1TB after replacing it with SSD.

Hi guys, just wanted to ask. Any of you monitoring the cpu clock speed for the Y500 GT 750M revision? According to the notebookcheck the Y510P turns off intel's turbo boost when more than 1 core is used meaning it will stay at the default clock speed of 2.4 ghz =.= This wasn't a problem in the Y500 GT 650M revision. The clock speed turbo boost to 3.0 ghz when 4 cores were used. I am not sure if the 750M has the same problem as the Y510p revision. Anyone can verify and/ or suggest a good software to do so? Source at the bottom of the article: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Lenovo...ok.97470.0.htmlCompared to Y500 GT 650M Sli: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Lenovo...ok.87585.0.htmlThis post has been edited by maxlol: Jul 25 2013, 01:24 PM

QUOTE(yewMP5 @ Jul 22 2013, 06:25 PM) Not yet...I need a laptop before September. So August near I need prepare myself for 1 already haha. Do u think 3500 can have a 510P with SSD? 755M version not gonna come Msia? If really need it urgently i suggest buy y410p instead. I'm using one. The only pain in the azz was the screen size was quite small, but you'll get use to it soon. About cooling, it's quite decent. I use a notepal E1, after playing Ghost Recon Future Soldier for hours, the left part of your lappy only get warm, not hot actually, after you put it in idle state for a few moments, the temperature will go down quite fast~ This post has been edited by Leon Wun: Jul 25 2013, 01:50 PM
