imo, they try to cheat u for better profit margin in the first place and hope that u don't detect it. Unfortunately u are smart enough to check it out immediately and lucky that they willing to exchange with u. So, this is a good lesson. Never take their words for granted and only trust urself. Always check the laptop thoroughly until u fully satisfy before u pay them.
Now, u can double check ur laptop to ensure no manufacturing defects. If any, then get one to one exchange with the shop within 7 days of purchase (no. of days depending on seller).
After the exchange period, then register ur warranty on-line for 2 years as per guide in post#1.
ya. he offered to install software in the laptop. i came back 1 hour later to take the laptop n left. so stupid. i should stay there, watch him unboxing.
when i reach home then only recall someone sharing how to check local set n US set in this forum by looking at the box, then only i checked.
now they take back the US set, put back to the box. don't know who will kena later on. hope they won't repeat this again.
well, i'm not computer savvy, don't know how to check for manufacturing defects. hopefully nothing happen when i'm using it.
the next step would be registering the warranty. i'm not sure the invoice they gave me recognized by Lenovo or not. will try n see.
