Is the salary good in cyberjaya?
*
It wasn't that high compare to KL, plus food and living is more expensive in cyberjaya.

I ask my colleagues why choose cyberjaya, their answer:

1. It's near my house (some stay in sri kembangan or puchong)

2. I really hate traffic jam, cyberjaya no traffic jam.

I actually never heard anyone said cyberjaya good pay, and even ang moh that work in cyberjaya, they will stay in KL and drive car to cyberjaya. Currently cyberjaya is still not an ideal place for living .... I would say the main reason is because it is being controlled strictly by BN government.

Wait a few years when the control become less strict, probably cyberjaya would be better.

There's virtually near 0 local Malaysian stay in Cyberjaya currently.

Most people that stay in Cyberjaya:

1. Foreign/local students that rent cheap room.

2. Local Malaysian that don't have cars but work in Cyber looking for cheap room.

3. Poor foreign expat that receive little salary and looking for cheap room in cyber.

So people who is rich, and have car, do not wish to live in cyberjaya.

Those majority live in Cyberjaya are either poor students, poor local Malaysian worker, or poor foreign workers.

Basically what Cyber lack of is cheap house.

what I mean is the majority people who stay there.

I wish to ask all of you guys who buy houses in Cyberjaya, did you plan to move or going to stay there?

If IT staff in cyber generally make >8k, trust me, this place will be flooded with people fighting for jobs.

There's a few restaurant in cyber, got cheap one and expensive one. During lunch hour, the cheap one (means less than rm10) is always crowded while the expensive one (expensive as in rm20 per meal) got no people. Those 8k salary bastards must be too kiam siap to spend a little more money for food.

Cheapest room in cyber is around rm350 (exclude bills) to 500, better one range from rm1000 and above also got. and generally people are struggle with this rent standard. They wish to get cheaper rent, but if no choice then rm500 also acceptable.

If your house/room rental (which I believe most house in cyberjaya will be higher than that standard) is above rm500 per person, really good luck in finding renter. Or perhaps you are intended to stay in it yourself, who knows.

The truth is, the normal salary people working cyberjaya cannot afford to buy or rent a house which cost rm600k above. People who can afford it will not choose to stay in cyber either. Don't ask me why, ask all the local rich Malaysian that work in Cyberjaya why they refuse to stay there.

Maybe in future it can be better, but whoever tell you cyberjaya workers earn a lot and cyberjaya houses are reasonable price to locals salary are clearly lying. Generally the Cyberjaya people I met rather pay expensive toll and petrol to drive to work than buy a house there.

seriously, why don't you guys try to rent a room and stay in cyberjaya for 3 months and feel it yourself?

Wow...what stereotypes. Sorry, but I don't think there are cheap rooms in Cyberjaya. Those who live in Cyberjaya don't drive and likes the quietness of Cyberjaya, while those who do drive don't stay in Cyberjaya because of lack of night life, that's all. But to say only poor people stay in Cyberjaya is one of the biggest nonsense I've heard in a long, long time.

You must be not from Cyberjaya.

You still need car in Cyberjaya because public transport is not until that good over there.

Cyberjaya's advantage I would say is very safe (but many local Malaysian disagree with me on this). But Cyberjaya is really not a quiet place at night, because Cyberjaya at night is full of middle east and africa people and foreign workers from Bangladesh/Myanmar. So I really don't think rich people who like quiet place will choose here. There are 2 universities in Cyberjaya, and imagine what will happen at night when you stay with that much of universities students (MMU students are perfectly good discipline ... but LKW ... )

If talking about a quiet and good quality neighbors, Taman Desa and OUG in KL or even Damansara would be a much better choice.

Sorry to say that ... how people judge an area ... is decide by the quality of the people who stay there. Ya, it sound materialistic but that's the reality.

Maybe im just too lucky to know all the high pay IT staff, most of my IT fren in cyber earn >8K, age 30++ senior only, not even a lead or a manager

most of the active user here are plan to move in cyber  wink.gif

of course, Cyberjaya always welcome more local Malaysian to move in. With average salary >8k, I think Cyberjaya will soon be heaven for all the working class people like me.
