Planning to go Tokyo in November. What are the info or documents that I need to visit Japan?
For example does my passport need to be valid for at least another six months? Do I need to provide health documents? Last time I even heard you need to prove that you have enough money in your bank account to visit.

I don't see my questions being answered in page 1.

It is in page 1 under visa requirement. No more visa needed so no more document. And yes you need your passport valid for at least 6 months like any other countries.

Thanks! I did saw the visa part earlier but there was no mention on the passport validity and bank account part.
Thanks again.

6months validity is international standard
bank statement verification already dropped

but if u r unlucky being question, u need to show ur itinerary and return ticket (minimum)
else they still hv their right to deport u

The questioning part sounds pretty scary. This is only my second time going overseas solo after Singapore so yeah.
Thanks.

I know my jr pass is pretty useless. Should I get subway pass and which? Tentatively thinking to visit asakusa, sky tree, harajuku, shibuya, akhibara, odaiba, nakamise, meiji shrine, shinjuku, rainbow bridge. If got time, will go yokohama for nissin museum and some other places there

Do tell us how the trip went (and whats the most useful pass in Tokyo). Those are some of the places that I'm planning to visit.

Planning to visit Tokyo for the first time in November. I heard that if you want to visit Tokyo, the best place to stay is Shinjuku because its in the middle of some of the best places and also near the train station. What do you guys think?

I'm planning to visit the tuna auction at Tsukiji fish market in November which means I have to be there before 5am.
Since my flight will reach Haneda airport around midnight, I'll spend the night at the airport and take a taxi around 4am from the airport to the market. Is that possible (and how much will it cost)? Are there even any taxis around that time? Or is there a better way?

Last year May I stayed in Hotel Metropolitan, it is super darn convenient, close to everything one can ask for like JR/Tokyo Metro (3 mins), McD/Mos/7-11/Family Mart just at left and right (1 minute of walk from hotel entrance)
*
Can also recommend other places to stay that are that convenient? Would be cool if they're less than RM200 a night.

I found this site, https://www.airbnb.com/, that lets you rent a room and stay with the locals. Looks like a really fun experience and its also cheap. Anyone tried something like this before? I might just give it a go.

Whats the best data plan to use in Tokyo? Was planning to use Digi which is RM50+ per day. I might be relying a lot on Google map.

Another option would be for me to stay nearby for a few hours in this place called Com Com Manga Cafe.

I prefer the first option but what do you guys think?
I'm planning to stay in Shinjuku while in Tokyo.
