That is either the Lock-Up restaurant or Alcatraz Restaurant in Shibuya. I've seen some reviews on it. Google and u shall find the answer...
Seems pricey though but for the experience, why the heck not. smile.gif

Ok nice. So is it wrong to ask for the recommendation of the resort that some people might have been there before?

What is the point of this thread then? Just don't reply if you don't bother to help.

Yes. Must compare both and also JAL before booking. Sometimes MAS higher RM100 also can consider. AirAsia only cheap when zero fair or real promo
*
i booked MAS for RM1350 return Tokyo. AA will be slightly exp after included meals, luggage, etc. ANA 1.5x more exp but I nearly go for it because they are using Boeing 787

ANA 787 won't come to Malaysia

BTW, if you book ANA, they will give u MAS aircraft.  ANA only flight to Singapore not KLIA.
JAL to Malaysia also using B767-300ER only
*
Most of them are using 787 but of course there will be 1 stop which is Singapore first. So it will be 333 fom KL to Sg then 787 to Narita

If you check 787 flight schedule, from july1 to today, 787 only come Singapore twice only.  Rate is lower than 10% so.......you need alot alot luck

don't know about other date but 787 is operating on the date i want

Deodorant, initially i planned osaka as part of my itinerary, but after searching online many comment that it s just like smaller version of tokyo. A friend who is studying in japan said it s not worth it.

Listiani, i meant hikone at shiga prefecture. Thanks for telling me about JTB. That s just what i want, cause was scratching my head on how to get my hands on the exchange voucher after i buy online. Most website did not mention whether the exchange voucher will be in softcpy via email or hardcopy to be sent via normal mail, which i do not have time to wait.

From tokyo to hiroshima requires changing at shin osaka. My reason to stay overnight kyoto was to leave luggage at kyoto so we wont have to drag luggage around, but i m still thinking. I saw online ther are some ryokans in miyajima? A traveller post mention about the view on the island once all the day travellers went back to mainland is fascinating.

You can use luggage forwarding service to send your luggage to other hotel without bringing it along

I just booked my ticket to Osaka. Going on the 2nd week of October.
Lots of hotels are fully booked already. But managed to fine vacancy at Apa Hotel Namba-Shinsaibashi.

Anyone stayed there before? Would like to stay around that area.

Which day you are in Osaka? I just booked 4 nights in Dotonbori Hotel, Osaka on 14 Oct and cost me USD$323.

14 Oct is public holiday in japan and many hotels were booked out in that long weekend

I'll be arriving on the 10th. Ya, i think it's because of the public holiday that the hotels are all booked.
When did you book your hotel? I was eyeing Dotonbori Hotel, but it was fully booked.
Thanks for the info. I've booked APA Hotel Namba through Japanican.

Not sure why, but rooms were only available through Japanican, but not through their own website or Agoda.
Hmm...

I just finished booking few days ago. Kyoto was the hardest one for 2 nights because of the long weekend so I split into two hotels for two nights. That weekend is also Suzuka F1 GP so it will be more expensive too.

In Tokyo now. This is my 2nd day in Japan... I find it quite suffering..

1. All their restaurant serve food without spoon. Only chopstick....
2. Those Japanese can hear me speaking Cantonese with my brother. But still keep speaking Japanese with us.
I don't understand it. I already tell them sorry I am not Japanese. Then order food by pointing at the picture on the menu. They still keep reply me in Japanese.. Why!!!!

3. I find that the people there are less friendly. They won't talk to foreigners. The only place that I find their people is a bit helpful is the JR station. Mayb bcoz I holder a green class JR pass?

Sifus please teach me how to integrate with them better or at least a easier way to get them help me.. I am finding this trip hard and very hard for me to enjoy and I still have 7 days to go cry.gif
*
i wondering what do you expect when you are travelling to other countries. don't expect other cultures will be the same as malaysian

i don't see any problem with chopstick only. if you need to use spoon for miso soup then you are wrong. you need to grap a bowl of it to drink it. same as ramen soup

2. again, they are japanese and they are not obligated to learn English anyway. i just came back from Japan today and I went to BBQ restaurant in SHinjuku and the waiter can't even speak 9pm in English but we roughly know what he trying to say and he thank got there is a clock near us and he just showed the time and ask us to wait

3. why would they speak to foreigner when they duno how to communicate with you?if you want them to speak with you, you can try the famous sushidai or daiwa sushi shop in tsukiji fish market. they will talk a little bit with you but prepare to wait few hours for the queue

i dono what kind of help you need but if you going there without a planned itinerary then a real good luck for you. i normally will put the popular venues into weekdays to avoid many crowds

personally, i find tokyo boring. i prefer kyoto or osaka. i also had one night ryokan in hakone which is the best. private session of ossen and good dinner and breakfast. good for a real leisure.

luckily there were 2 days of raining in my whole 2 weeks trip and today's rain is the heaviest and also my departure day

overall, the trip is good and also tiring. lots of walking and always get lost on the road coz the street name is confusing. the food is amazing and we just line up when we see the long queue. kinda adventure for me and my gf
