I've been to Tokyo last month for two weeks trip. Really love the city. Travelling around by JR train is really efficient and easy but the train get super crowded during rush hour. Do online survey on map, destination info & train route first before go out in Tokyo because most Japanese don't understand English. And even, i've been approached by Japanese asking me direction in train station. My favorite place is Mount Fuji, Shibuya, Akihabara, Ueno, Asakusa & Kamakura. Food is not as expensive as i expected and it taste so fresh and delicious. I'm looking forward to visit Tokyo again or maybe Hokkaido next time. Below is some of photos i took in Tokyo :

I think I can sit in the Shibuya Starbucks for hours just to watch thousands of people crossing the intersection. The best view ever in a cafe. biggrin.gif

Last minute train is also considered rush hours. There are still many peoples on the street at late night especially in Shinjuku & Shibuya area. Tokyo city is always super crowded. tongue.gif

Thank you bro..need one more suggestion..are you recommend me to buy PS4 at there (akihabara or somewhere else cheaper)? The price more cheaper than Malaysia right after got tax and custom?

I have surveyed some of the electronic devices in Akihabara & Shinjuku, i felt that the price is not cheap. If you want to buy electronic devices from Japan, you need an electrical converter/adapter as their voltage is lower than ours.

Hi, I am going to Japan on december this year(my first time) and i have few questions to ask, hope that all sifus can guide me. Thanks in advance.

1. i will reach Haneda Airport on 29 dec at 11.30pm in Japan by AA. I found that it doesn't work on monorail and subway in japan as all close by 12midnight. i have searched the late night limo bus and found that only certain routes on certain hotels. I plan to stay in Horidome villa(5 min walk to Ningyocho Station--Hibiya Line). Can anyone suggest me how to get there during midnight? if can avoid taxi, it's better cuz wanna cut cost.

*
Last time i reached at Haneda airport at 11.30pm by AirAsia too, i stayed in First Cabin Hotel (Capsule hotel) inside the airport. Take a monorail from the arrival hall Terminal 2 to Terminal 1, its only a short distance but the last train is at 12 am. The First Cabin Hotel is at second floor in Terminal 2. Go for the first class cabin for bigger room because the other type room is very very small. After the overnight stay, you can take shuttle bus just outside the terminal to your next destination. Don't ever take taxi in Japan, it will cost you a bomb. You can have a look at the link below.

Need some opinion guys..

Do you think it's better travel by our own or by travel agency?

Because this is my first time travel outside Malaysia. smile.gif

Last time i travel by my own to Tokyo. I did joined some ground tour there to go to Mount Fuji & Kamakura. IMO, it was very convenient to travel around Tokyo by JR train but you must do research on Google map and plan first before you go out.
