question, my friend is interested in visiting jap during the new year..is it good to visit there during this time? as in all the shops will be open? i might be going with my friend since we aim for tokyo..

Hello. Gonna go Osaka with my gf next year (around April-May). If we were to go for a budget trip for around 4-5 days, how much it would cost for each of us ya (everything excluding the flight ticket)?
And I always see people went Kyoto when they went Osaka... Is it recommended to do so (because it's nearby etc.)? 

Just back from Japan !!! Sugoi country with beautiful and polite people. Walau I can't take my eyes off from gals, entirely on different level with ours. Was there with bunch of school gals at train station. Kirei Kireii

When earthquake comes.  u will lost house , road , power , water.  without fund , youw think Japan govt can rebuild so fast in 1 week?

fund is like insurance...you will get the house rebuild back.

This "disaster fund" is actually the consumption tax that they are going to raise it from 5% to 8% next year. So far I only pay  income tax and also resident (municipal and prefecture) tax which varies according to where you stay. Both this adds up to 30% of my annual income. At least I get some services from the resident tax like free health care check in addition to the one  given by the company, discount rate to the sports center. Besides that, if you have a baby you will also received one lump sum about 300,000yen. You will get this as long as you pay tax even if you are not Japanese.

Besides that, the whatever interest (about 0.003%) you earn in bank will also be tax! So might as well keep it under the pillow, which what most elderly people do here.

they wanted to go to tokyo, osaka and kyoto in 5d 4n..

btw, my dad read somewhere in blog said we need to have 10,000 ringgit in bank account in order to travel to japan is it right?? i never heard about it.. and it sound ridiculous..
