I always use free wifi at hotels and McDonalds. Never bought data plan when traveling. Now online in hotel just north of Pisa. Driving back to France soon, 350km away.

QUOTE(Listiani @ Oct 6 2013, 09:18 PM) I am travelling to Japan for 2 weeks with my husband starting on 18/10/13. I am muslim too but why I am not worried about halal food because if you can't find halal restaurant, you can either choose vegetarian food or seafood. Simple solution. On another note, you can bring canned food from Malaysia. True -- for 1000yen can get glorious fresh seafood and rice. Anyway, last Dec we were walking around Tokyo and spotted 2 halal eateries (Indian and kebab): - Siddique Halal Indian Pakistani at N35.702045 E139.771912 - Nasco Kebab at N35.702072 E139.699738 Keep a keen eye when walking -- you are bound to spot them and others. Or you can always rely on: http://www.zabihah.com/sp.php?k=type+%28optional%29&l=tokyo === |

QUOTE(Listiani @ Oct 8 2013, 11:31 AM) Brader, I need a confirmation from you abt charger in Japan. Some friends tells me different story so I am not sure which one I should follow. Most chargers nowadays can accept 110-240V. Just check the specs on the adapter/plug.We need transformer to charge our handphone, laptop, camera while in Japan, right? Their voltage is 100-110v, but ours is 220v-240v. I don't think we can just plug in to charge without transformer. Pls enlighten me. |
