Hi, from google map, Ryokan Shimizu appears to be quite a distance from Kyoto Station. Do you rely on taxi, bus or just walk? Thanks

is it ryokan or minshuku? I'm currently looking a traditional ryokan for us to stay in Kyoto area.. already booked 5 days minshuku, 5 days at friend house, but feeling like having an experience in ryokan, but the Ryokan I've searched is either pretty far and non-convenient or very expensive..

-----------------------------------------------

side question, speaking of ryokan.. I'm still undecided either to stay in Ryokan or an Onsen Resort... Onsen Resort is expensive but if I want to try Onsen once..  tongue.gif  rclxub.gif

If you wanna try a true onsen experience, head over to Tenzan at Hakone brows.gif

For those who has been to Kodai-ji Temple at Kyoto before, is there really a bamboo groove garden there? From google map, looks like it is beside a cemetary..

Some questions on kuroneko yamato luggage forwarding service.

Do I need to inform my hotel (destination) about this arrangement? And is it really reliable and safe?

Thanks

hye..

my parents planing to travel to japan..
they wanted to go to tokyo, osaka and kyoto in 5d 4n..

but they dont decided yet what place to visit and how to go..
is there any good agencies that can help sort out all the thing??
would it be costly to travel with bulet train from tokyo-osaka-kyoto-tokyo??

btw, my dad read somewhere in blog said we need to have 10,000 ringgit in bank account in order to travel to japan is it right?? i never heard about it.. and it sound ridiculous..
*
5d 4n is too short for the 3 places

previously, tourists applying for visa need to prove that they have sufficient fund.

Holy crap...I know taxis in Japan are expensive. But damn...thats like half of the price of my flight ticket.

Lol! the distance is about 16km. Last time I took a midnight cab, less than 1km being charged 1000 yen already.
