QUOTE(accetera @ Mar 7 2014, 11:38 PM) Recently UOA Development Bhd's ("UOA") subsidiary applied for the development called "Sentul Village" on Jalan Sentul Pasar. The Phase 1 and 2A of this project consists of 3 blocks of total 46-storey blocks including 11 storeys for carpark and facilities; and a row of shoplots. The Phase 1 and 2A towers consist of a total of 2,066 service apartment units. The developer mentioned that they will build a pedestrian bridge to link to a proposed retail mall opposite the site. Wait a minute, 2066 units on 13 acres land?? Crazy man In November 2013, UOA acquired 13.5 acres (or) 7 parcels of contiguous freehold land in Sentul for RM130.3 million. Several parts of land will be surrendered bringing the size to about 12.5 acres. Together with 2012's purchase of "Sentul Land", UOA is proposing to develop the said parcels of land into a 5-phase mixed development with focus on medium-end residential properties and is expected to commence in the year 2014 with a combined GDV of RM2 billion. |

QUOTE(joshua963 @ Jul 1 2014, 07:29 PM) Ok guys... Just to share my experience living in Sentul. I Myself have been living for 19years in Sentul more specifically at Sentul Pasar till the year 2002. Family has been there for 30years plus or so. I have well seen how the whole landscape at Sentul evolved over the years. The much famous Sentul west and Sentul east were railway workers settlement those days. The area where the Fennel stands used to be a petrol station and some squatter houses. Thanks for sharing! N yes, I agree too that Sentul will boom soon Gangsterism was synonymous with the word Sentul. And looking back at the area now, its almost unbelievable. An 1 Million ringgit condo stands on the very same route which I used to cycle to school. Not to mention D7, D6, Capers all stand proud on Jalan Sentul. One thing which is lacking very much now is a shopping complex. Well Ong tai Kim is a total flop. This part of Sentul, where Sentul Point is feels like the same very place how previously it was for the Fennel,D7 n etc. Passing by that street now, one can feel the potential in the very near future. Of course its going to be high dense but there is a lot of room for growth. The whole street from 1 Sentul till Maxim citilights could well be chick n happening place of the future. Have faith and just give it a few years to grow. I'm quite confident that the returns may well fruitful. |

Heard that UOA has a new COO on board, and this person is quite stingy n very cost concerned. Just afraid they will use cheap building material for future development...
