Any product that can help to protect the headlamps from getting yellow or stone chips?
*
I'd say it would be a car paint sealant. Did mine with headlamp polish (Waxco) -> Permaglass Polymer Sealant. I wax regularly too, normally after every wash per week, but sometimes I leave it to go two to three weeks before reapplying wax. So far so good and no sign of yellowness has appeared.

I can't wait to get my hands on a polishing machine though so I can remove the scratches on the lamps for good, as well as the swirls on the car's paint.

Well, I do recall reading somewhere that someone got the paint shop to spray a layer of clear coat over his car's lamps, and it has been fine for several years. I'd say go for it if it works since your lamps are new and are probably free from any surface damage.

Serious 10k KM service interval??!
where? i googled, cant get it.
*
You'd probably get the info from the service center if they're updated since it's a pretty new info anyway. Honestly though unless you're using some above average semi-synthetic oil I'd say stick to the interval of 5k ~ 7k KM depending on your driving style and distance.

Suprima S just fresh, and recommended traveling speed is around 120km/h or below. Unless the Suprima is going 170km/h, the BMW should have not any problem overtaking it. Also, it depends on traffic conditions. Do you expect the BMW to overtake using left lane? Only low class people do that most of the time, unless the Suprima is doing like 80km/h on the fast lane.

Happy birthday.

And yeah, it's absolutely stupid. Three lane highway and some random car sticks on the right most lane at 60KM/H while the rest of the lanes are empty? Been there many times and I always apply low class mentality ASAP cry.gif.

sad.gif. Maybe after graduate with Masters / PhD brows.gif.

Bulk buy Myth LCP after I've purchased the firestorm please drool.gif. The idea of improved low-end torque is really tempting, but not the price sad.gif.

As for wind noise the car suffer most from the front now with those aerotwins thing. Honestly I'm thinking of switching back to the conventional design. It's seriously loud above 110KM/H from the front.

Yus. Botched Aerotwins. Right blade is skipping (I rarely use them), and wind noise seems bad with them. After VS it'll probably be Firestorm or DIY soundproofing or those PIAA blades hmm.gif... or games.

then who is using expensive capacitor?  rclxub.gif u wan to have reliable VS? wanna try Works VS? brows.gif
*
Cheap capacitor thing, no idea. The only thing I saw in the sales thread was an argument between him and another seller regarding their VS quality. Honestly since he's not getting his capacitors from Jalan Pasar but rather direct from a factory with a cert or something I'd say it should be trustable.

Maybe after graduation I'd take it to the task of creating a VS myself with the use of other components aside from just capacitors for a properly smooth output. drool.gif

Oh well. Since capacitors degrade I guess someone should open up their VS in like 1 ~ 2 years time to see what is actually inside. laugh.gif. The only pictures I have seen so far of the VS is that it's full of capacitors.

Budget's the issue, so is time, and skills. Until I perfect my soldering skills, I don't think I'd be touching any high value project since PCBs etching in small quantities is expensive and bad soldering can cause it to be pretty much useless e.g due to short circuiting.

QUOTE(Cavino @ Sep 6 2013, 08:52 AM)
Unless you always charge devices in car or using ICE, I don't see any reason for VS for the cost of it. btw. I got Eric's VS in all my cars without ICE and no item charging...so ketam mengajar anak berjalan. Ahh....that is when I still have dough to waste. I do like the light less dimming when compressor jalan.

What I would suggest if you still does not have it, is the GC from Eric. That will be more useful than VS anytime.

If you cannot afford Myth (the best as of now), go for the affordable range, Works. Vibration might be slightly more and if you don't hentam over 5K rpm, I don't see that you will know what's the difference between Works and Myth vibration, neither did I, just based on input from Xan and that big guy from the South (sorry, don't know why always cannot remember his name) . Its cheaper by almost RM200, if I'm not wrong.
*
I have the GC already (5 points). Bought it quite some time ago. To be honest I'm not entirely sure of the difference since I didn't drive the car enough to know how it was before adding the GC. As for the LCP I do actually go over 5K RPM occasionally.

Anyway, where can we get the weather sheet for our car's door? Mine's leaking again, and I kinda tore it slightly in rage cause of the awning caulk (that I stupidly listened to to use it as an alternative to the bitumen strips). Broke some of the clips off my door trim as well so I'll have to replace them, and probably buy another set as well for the other door's door trim since that has awning caulk in it as well.

What needs to be done? Forgot what xandras wrote about that. Maybe next time when I finally have the money to do a full air-cond cleaning I'll get that done at the same time since ours apparently requires the dismantling of the dash anyway.
